    4.6 modular swap

Well I decided to scrap my turbo s50 in favor of a aluminum 4.6 mustang engine. I am also running a ford 9 inch rear end. I started on everything today and got the crossmember mounted. I am going to work on it all week and hopefully get the rear end set up. My heads will be in next week and I will start on mounting the motor. Here are some pics so far.

Interesting. Not to be skeptical, but didn't the guy that swapped the LS1 into an E30 say it was a pretty tight fit? An LS1 is not much bigger than a 302 Ford.

That's gonna be a squeeze, isn't it? Obviously you're doing a lot of cutting, but... damn. Of course, people have put BMW V8's in, and they can't be much smaller, are they?

What's the car going to be used for?

We are going to make it fit. Plus i am using the 3 valve motor which has smaller heads than the 4 valve in the picture

How come I imagine maniacal laughter when you typed that? :) Reminds me of the old hot rodders credo: anyone can restore a car, it takes a real man to cut one up!

Fun to watch, thanks! No hating here.
