I expect you people saying that evolutionary theory has been largely disproven to state your evidence. I think much of the confusion about evolutionary theory comes from people pointing out that it doesn't explain the origins of life. Evolutionary theory is not intended to explain HOW life began, only how organisms change over time. If you are looking for that check out Abiogenesis. Intelligent Design can never be science for one simple fact. It's untestable and unobservable. Every argument for ID unravels into "it's too complex so god did it". That's not science. Heck, they still don't even mention the mechanism, HOW does the "intelligent designer" cause change in organisms?
