I was actually referring to being formed from sludge (cause I cannot think of the word I am looking for). I will try and find the studies to which I am referring.
Church funded scientists are still scientists. I will also say, IMO, that there are still holes in a great deal of the theories out there about how everything was started ... ON ALL SIDES. I will also state that philosophy bores the crap out of me. I generally do not dwell on what has been but what is currently happening or what is coming up. I am psychologically oriented ... meaning I like understanding how peoples minds and thoughts work.

what you are referring to here is called primordial ooze. basically a puddle that formed before the dawn of life on the planet. the puddle contained the basic components of organic compounds (carbon, nitrogen, ect.). when electrically charged (struck by lightning) the chemical reactions formed these organic compounds and paved the way for single celled organisms.

in my opinion, any one who doenst look at evolution as the most likely theory of how all organisms ended up the way they are up to this point is not very observant. the evidence is all around you. to me it is even obvious primates evolved from sea mamlas origionally. but that wouldnt be possible according to christian theory because the earth only existed 6000 years before christ was born. try proving that one.

This is precisely why I asked him if he believes the jews used time travel to place fossils all over the world.

Well obviously I do not believe that. I do seem to recall a very interesting find not too long ago. I am quite certain, based on previous comments within this thread, you guys might find it rather interesting. Again I am trying to find the info on that as well. My memory SUCKS.

I am not a computer guy ... what is MLA? Just so I know what I need to open the docs. Okay so hypothesis was the right word either. I am NOT a word smith at all ... not even close. But the study you are referring to sounds very similar or at least related to the "RNA world" model.

Found this article to be pretty interesting. The last 5 or 6 paragraphs just solidifies my beliefs in MY head.
