1991 325i lots of euro goodies

I am having a car crisis, or a maybe a midlife crisis (hope not, I'm only 26). I am at a juncture with this car where I am either going to dump a bunch of money into it or just get rid of it, I guess that is up to you kind folks. If it sells cool, I have cash for my other habits, if it doesn't I will fix it and continue to enjoy it.

The car is a 1991 325i 180,000 mile coupe, calypsorot. The paint has a lot of scratches that have been touched up, but the car still shines up nicely. Some may have seen the thread on the how the car was hit in the rear bumper. This basically amounted to a cracked bumper. I can provide a copy of the estimate showing that it was only cosmetic damage. I am going to epoxy the crack and be done with it if I keep the car. Over all the car is in good shape with no rust and no major collision damage ever.

The car is tidy and could be a stunner with a bit of work. I find that as time goes on, the less time I have to devote to this car.

    Good;

-New gripforce stage 2 clutch, pilot and throw out bearings
-Recaro drivers seat, wear on bolster
-AC Schnitzer steering wheel, leather is dry but it comes back nicely
    -crank windows
    -is skirts and spoilers
    -15x7 Alpinas, REAL, recently refinished
    -Hartage muffler
-Every bushing in the suspension save the upper strut mounts is new poly
    -braided stainless dot brake hoses
    -new guibo
    -new CSB
-zimmerman x-drilled rotors and newish pads
    -new rear main
-M3 rear and cabby front sway bars with spherical end links
-IE body side rear sway bar reinforcements
    -Bilstien sports
    -Spax springs
-Head, timing belt, water pump, radiator, hoses and belts replaced around 10,000 miles ago
    - euro manual rack and pinion
    - all front end parts are new or have been relaced in the last 10,000 miles
    -euro elips
    -euro trim
    -euro clock
-Alpina gauge cluster trim (have the rest of the Alpina cluster but the USPS smashed it)
    -Vorshlag wheel studs
    -new wheel bearings all around
-a ton of spares, struts, rear end, sways etc
    -A/C removed
-axillary gauge pod above ashtray with CSI programmable digital fan controller/water temp gage
    -D&W front strut brace
    -newer 3.73LSD confirmed low milage
    -light weight 323i flywheel

and probably a lot more I am forgetting

    Bad;

    -A/C removed
    -Bumper crack
-paint has a lot of little scratches
-front fender lip is all dinged up do to a tire catching it and a hasty roadside repair
-dash has two small cracks and some adhesive in spots from a dash cover that I can't get off
-has a couple of oil leaks
    -Getrag rattle
-The car has 180,000 miles on it, it has been well taken care of under my stewardship and is presentable but it is not a new car nor even close to it.

    Pictars;

The interior pics are form when I was installing it, it is finished now and all black.

I am asking $4000. I will not move much from this. Do me a favor and buy the car, or do me a favor and let me keep it.:)

Feel free to ask questions or to request pics etc.

Thanks, I can't justify the expense for such a small change. I do have a set of eyebrows for it, but I grew out of those I think.

Weren't the Alpinas sold? I'm trying to convince my dad to let me take this in. I'm gaining ground steadily.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

Are you planning to have this looked into ? I was pretty interested in picking this up but since im in Texas, that's a pretty big gamble. Btw, what general area Flagstaff or Pheonix ?

                  Car looks very nice.

Thanks. I'm in Tucson. I do my own maintainence, diagnostics, etc. and was going to check it out this week, but things got hectic and I haven't yet had the chance. If I do fix it, the price would go up, could be a little or a lot depending on what it takes. As an absolute blind guess I am thinking the main relay, but I need to pop the hood to be certain. If you are serious and would be more comfortable with a shop checking it out PM me and we could work out the logistics. If I were to do that, I would need a serious commitment though. I can't stand having other people work on my cars.

Oh, sweet. They look tits. I've been looking into selling it for a little while now, yeah.

My wife and myself finally have a day off at the same time, so I should be able to give the car a little attention. I'll snap some more pics after I clean it up a bit.

The A/C didn't work when I bought the car. So I took it out. I have never had a car with A/C before (my wife's cars are a different story) so I am used to it. It can get a bit hot at times though.

Also, I forgot to add that the car has a 13lb (I think) 323i fly wheel. The diff was replaced 500 miles ago with a 3.73LSD with a confirmed 75,000 miles on it. It also has a D&W front stress bar (a German tuning company), a CSI programmable digital temp gauge/fan controller, a three gauge pod that goes in the cubby above the ashtray, VDO temp and oil pressure gauges and Vorslag wheel studs

The car has the Getrag rattle and the light fly wheel exacerbates it a bit. And as long as I am going for full disclosure, the car likes to leak oil too.
