M-technic II Cabrio with trunk spoiler - Aye or Nay?

My new M-technic has a Racing Dynamics spoiler that I'm planning on removing. I'm strongly considering replacing it with an M-tech II rear spoiler. But I know that the mtech verts didn't come with rear spoilers, so I'm not 100% sure I want to do it. I'd also appreciate your thought on rear headrests vs. no headrests. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE.

And a wild card - with M-technic I spoiler (photo by Austin Driggers (m3austin) from cactusjacks1)

    Lastly, with rear headrests

I think I like it without. I dunno why, but I just think it is a cleaner look.

Damn they are all so hot. My vote would be shaved trunk brake light and Italian mt2. Disasterinc in Boston has a freshly painted mt2 not the Italian but pretty sure same silver.

You are doing the Cacktusjack lip upfront right? Don't do mt1.

Crap can't decide. They all look so hot.

I'm sorry but I adore the mtII spoiler, mtI is good but too played out.

Now you feel my pain :p I'm not sure about the front splitter for my vert, but most likely for my 318i when I install the m-tech II kit.

Bro im in the same situation! I got a MtechII boot spoiler & Im buying a MtechI also. I like the look that the mtech one provides on the cabby cuz its more clean cut and subtle. the mtech two on a cabby seems out of place with the rag top on.. just my 2 cents. But when top down the Mtech II spoiler is ballin. Decisions. Decisions.

And, just to complicate things a bit more... You can use just the lower part of the mtech2 spoiler, without the 'wing' section. I'd love to see pics of how that looks too.

I'm in the same boat as all you other guys, can't decide if I want a spoiler or not

Rear headrests are also tits and make any wing look better IMO, kind of breaks up the heavy beltline of the car and makes any spoiler look less out of place. I love cactusjacks MT1, and I love Jonsku's MT2... decisions decisions.

If it were a sedan then sure but it's a tough call on a convertible. I think if you delete the 3rd brake light then a spoiler is more tolerable but if you stick with the original trunk it looks out of place. The lower profile MT1, S and bottom half of MT2 look good because they are subtle and don't block too much of the brake light. I didn't want to drill any holes in my original trunk so for now I am spoilerless. I also have an M tech 1 & 2 rear spoiler sitting in my garage lol...just incase.

Thanks for adding this pic. It represents well for the no-spoiler proponents. I didn't include options for keeping or deleting the 3rd brake light, but, in my case, it's a given that it will be shaved either way. Thanks for all the feedback.
