What happened to all the crazy 80s koenig cars?

Ive been on a euro styling kick recently and am eating up anything overly gawdy and uber euro. Ive done a good bit of google searching and forum snooping but havnt gotten too many good pics. Im curious to see if anyone has any good ones, or even cares for this kind of thing.

heres what looks to be the same kit for sale on ebay

In the detailed pics the kit is seperating from the door, the floor gone, seats ripped. Im curious what kind of fate, if not the same, the rest of the crazy cars from the 80s had.

here are some others, Id love to see some pics of these cars that werent taken when they were new.

Here is a zender kit that is very minute. only a slight widebody is noticeable among a slew of other slight modifications.

Heres a more modern kit on an 8 series

I was told that a semi local bmw parts yard had an e30 with a crazy body kit like this on it and have been craving a chance to go see it. Ive found a couple pictures of convertible e30s with what looks like the koenig kit but they arent very big pics. Anyone have any e30 ones?

Koenig Testarossa: I saw one of these through a glass window in L.A. when I was like, 14. At the time I thought it was the shit, but now I realize it's a kitted Testarossa for guys that didn't have the cash to drop on a real F40.

Or couldnt, when new they wouldnt sell you an f40 unless you owned so many ferraris before right? and even then they only made like 500.

I do know that the F50's were sold under that rule. Maybe due to the F40 going nuts. F40 was the most profitable car ever for Ferrari. I'd love to have a day in one.

                            They made over 1300 F40s.
