    Reintroducing Lego

    Hey all,

I've been lurking on this forum for a little while now and decided it was about time that I introduced myself and my e30, which some of you might know already. I'd been interested in getting an e30 as a project car for quite a few years, and I finally decided to go for it earlier this year when I found Lego for sale here: Sale posting

I already inherited some great work that Hootie has done, so now I'm just making my game-plan for what else I want to do.

    Existing Mods done by Hootie:
    - GC coilover conversion kit with 650fr/750r spring rates
    - GC camber plates
    - Koni Single Adjustable Shocks and Struts
    - An aftermarket exhaust that came with the car
    - Z3 M SSK
    - Shaved Antenna
    - Custom skid plate welded by yours truly - basically 3/8" of steel bent and bolted to the radiator support and steering rack - it literally tears up the road.
    - Shadowlined inside and out about a year ago and shows absolutely no sign of chipping.
    - Rear Euro Plate Filler
    - Porsche D90 rims 16x7 fr with 195/40 Yoko S Drives; 16x8 r with 195/40 Conti Sport 2's painted matte white
    - 4x100 --> 5x130 adapters (38.5 mm front and 43 mm rears)
    - CAI and some chip that came with the car
    - New control arms
    - New tie rods
    - All new belts and fluids

    Future plans:
    - iS lip (Done - thanks Blunt!)
    - Replace cracked rear bumper impact strip/trim (On its way - thanks again Blunt)
    - Interior Light Delay Unit (on its way from George)
    - Euro spec Ellipoid smileys (on their way from MikeDE)
    - Euro grills (on their way from MikeDE)
    - Full maintenance check
    - Fix AC (compressor and belt)
    - Fix some electrical issues (rear window, mirrors, etc.)
    - Front suspension check (slight clunking sound from loose strut bolts?)
    - Reupholster seats (maybe racing seats in the front?)

    Long term plans:
    - Full body paint job
    - LSD swap
    - Engine swap (S52? or more ambitious S54??)

    Anyways... some recent photos:

The day I brought it home:

    After the iS lip install:

Looking forward to getting to know ya'll and hope to continue to get advice on my DIY projects.

    Peace,
    Shayan

What blasphemy! Who would do such a thing?

Rest easy folks the D90s will stay matte white and they'll stay on :)
