    Ebay Late Model Foglights

Picked up a set of these a few days ago, and have mixed feelings on them. They work, and are a shitload cheaper than stock, however the quality on them doesnt seem to be 100%. Issues are thus

Glass lenses: appear to have unevenness in the lens itself. Adjustment holes are poorly executed, and there appear to be bubbles in the optics themselves.

Frames: obvously lower quality plastic than stock, feels flimsy and flexible.

Connectors: This is the kicker.... the housing castings appear to be mirror images of one another INCLUDING THE CONNECTOR. Thats right, the connector alignment and shape is reversed. You will have to remove the outer casing to use this. also the pins are not centered in the connector body making fitment a bit of a bitch.

General construction: Appears to be light gauge stamped sheetmetal for the internal construction of the lights. screws are not the same quality nor are they cad plated for rust resistance.

General consensus: I would give them a 6-7/10 rating. not bad enough to avoid completely, but bad enough to try and find decent stockers instead. If you dont have fogs, they are better than nothing, and that is the best I can say about them. For 72 bucks shipped, they look better than an empty hole in the valance.

Heres a link to the fogs I got, for those that follow:

while the Hellas are probably better quality, they are not a factory fit item for the E30.

i have the same set, i bought them for a temp while i polish the lenses on my stockers. you need to swap the gasket over, no biggie.

i could not get my to adjust for crap though and the holes for access to the screws did not lign up along with the other issues stated earlier in the thread.

i looked at them yesterday and one of the adjusting screws were laying in the fog light....nice.

i also had to trim the power socket on the fog to make it fit on both sides. you will need to grind off one corner to make the socket go in all the way.

the wire tangs that hold the bulb in needed some adjusting also.

for the $ they could be worse, butg don't expect a bolt in and go.

in my case I have the fake mtech 2 front and all my lights are held on with zip ties anyway. That custom frame does nothing for me so I might as well get the name brand.

as far as the plug... I still have the stock wires and switch, fogs are just 2 wires.... strip them and put in two connectors...nothing scary about that

believe me I know this is a bmw. I have a wire stripper and connectors in the glove box.
