    fitting mtech 2 sideskirts

    hi there.

ive had a search into fitting my mtech 2 side skirts.

there wasnt much that come up.

basicly my issue is. i have a 4door facelift. and im converting it to full mtech 2. the hardest part ive run into is the sideskirts. the slap 'em on approach is easy. but i want it done right. with the right clips, the right fitment ect. i mean if someones gonna go through the effort to do something why not do it right? so that involves drilling the side sills to fit the clips for the skirts. so i need the drilling jigs.

does anyone have these? or a digital copy of them i can use to make a template with?
if i can't get any i will be going to bmw and adding the drilling jigs to my perchase order with the clips, badges, stickers and all things mtech related.

im just trying to be a tight ass and save a few dollars.

thanks for any help. - leigh

These are instructions for a 2-door & convertible but they may be able to help you with your 4-door

that is good info. from TIS bmw instruction program is it?

but it still says to drill to the drilling jig. it still doesn't give any measurements as to where to drill which is a pain.

      thank you anyway

        Do you have the kit..?
Line it up and take measurements of where to drill. It's the same snag I ran into with my mtechI lip. I'm afraid of drilling the wrong hole in my trunk, but eventually, one day I'll get around to denting my trunk with the mount points and drilling the holes.

Just line up your skirts and take measurements. Then just measure how far up you have to cut

You should give me the kit and let me do it lol.. but seriously: Try making your own jig. Grab a large roll of paper, take many measurements and try to outline it on the paper. Measure twice, cut once.

              thats not a bad idea.

the paper home made jig idea.
not the giving away the kit i had to almost kill for to get haha.

i shall look into that. but also. if i get the jigs. do does anyone think that there is a market for them if i was to have them copied? they of course would be copied of genuine bmw ones from germany.
