Its been a work in progress for a while now 2 years approx. But as its finally on the dyno and everything seems to work. Time to post some pics up.
Old thread started HERE, not much has changed on the exterior, a few interior changes though.
So decided to paint the engine bay finally after engine conversion was done and completed.
Basically shit got out of hand and this is the result.
After engine conversion, wasn’t happy with how it looked compared to the rest of the car.

So this happened

Bought these

The start of a smooth engine bay

E30 Cab strut reinforcements

Off to Dr Vanos

Looks factory

Throttle bodies stripped, and sandblasted

Off for powder coating

Oh Sheeeet!!! its about to get heavy

Aeromotive fpr

Rebuilt Z3 short turn rack

Primed

Headlights rebuilt

Before and after

Parts start to arrive

shame these are hidden, nice!!!

Coated

Fluid cans

Water to air intercooler in plenum started.

Back from Dr Vanos, bit of polish and ready to go back on

Engine going together

Blower on for the first time

3rd set of headers, after a few trial and errors
1 1/3” primary to 2.5” duel mandrel to the end hps coated
Custom flange out of 12mm steel

Ready for HPC coating

Custom Oil cap

Block off plate

Engine in

Custom crank pulley

-8An for Blower drain
Back from powder coating

New steering coupling, fixed solid.

I revised the blower bracket, it will be 25mm thick, the old one was only 10mm it might have flexed anything over 200rpm. Also wanted to run a separate 8 rib belt for the blower so there’s no slippage.

Surge tank for the boot, aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, 100micron pre filter, and 10micron after

In place

Headers after coating....very happy with the result, just took about 90 hours

New 25mm master, shorter than e30

New rear strut top

New poly gearbox mounts

Radiator from C&R.

Modifying to all AN fittings no rubber hose on this engine

Bits

Oil cooler and water heat exchanger to go behind front bar

Custom brake fluid can

Catch can and power steering res in one

They reckon these can handle 500hp, will put to test!!

New blower bracket designed as well as pulleys, off to cnc

Back from CNC, will paint recessed bit. This thing is rock solid no movement at all!!

Double bearing pulleys

Arp fasteners

BOV and over boost valve

Accelerator cable bracket new and old

One way valve for brake booster, new and old

Plenum finished. Will put rubber boot over silicon hose for factory finish!!

Engine in and ready for run in tune

Once I got some figures I will post them up, need to run motor in so might be a while.
Video, before tune.
