I need your AFM! (To borrow and/or steal and/or purchase)

I have suspected that my e30 has a dying AFM due to some idling issues and stalling/bogging/poor throttle response. So, Instead of dropping money on a Miller MAF or another AFM that has no definite results as to if it will solve my problems, I need someone local who has enough kindness in their heart to let me borrow a known working late-model m20 AFM for testing purposes. I just need it for a couple minutes and a small test drive around the block. I'd preffer taking a gamble on one that someone already has in their car (we can meet up, and I'd pay for your troubles), but I don't mind using one that's known working and has just been sitting. Frankly, I need all the help I can get

If it shows a definite increase in engine/idle performance, I may be swayed to discuss permanently "borrowing"/"stealing"/purchasing the AFM if it is an extra parts AFM that did not come off another e30

If not, I just need someone who would let me test a known-working AFM to see if mine truly is the cause of my poor idling

    Let me know NorCali-r3v! Thanks
    Joey

I'm in Concord. I rebuild AFM's and have several in stock. $125 and I keep your old core.

Check out my thread on the topic.

I was checking out your topic on it actually; unfortunately, I dont want to drop $125 on a product until I know it is the cause of my issues.

if and when I get this squared away, rest assured, I will be in contact

Understandable, have you check the motronic codes? Ruled out all major idle leaks?

I just fixed all my vacuum leaks; ran a smoke test; new throttle body/AFM boot, breather hose, etc. The main problem areas have been accounted for, and I get 22-24 MPG with a consistent idle; the idle just likes to... "stutter" on take-off (like its about to stall, but then catches at the last second)

No codes are being thrown, CEL is off

I'm stumped, and the last thing I have yet to check are my fuel lines or my AFM: It has to be either not enough air, or not enough fuel; or both. I ruled AFM first since that's the easiest check/fix
