Anyone know a good e30 shop in NoVA/DC?

Looking for a place to get my 5-speed swap done as my garage is much too small. I've had places quote me crazy money to do it.

    Any suggestions?

That's pretty much par for the course around here. Crazy money to do damn near ANYTHING. I could put a lift in my garage for the quotes I'm getting for various BMW repairs.

    Good luck!

How much are you being quoted for the swap?

The two shops I've been referred to in the area (but have not used) are Alexandria Bavarian Service and RRT by Dulles.

      Good luck!

Zimmerman Automotive in Gaithersburg, MD. Worth the drive. Dan (the owner) is an e30 enthusiast and owner. The workmanship is top notch and the prices cant be beat.

I was quoted $1600 for the swap labor only because I have all the parts.

Was gonna recommend Zimmerman Automotive too. Haven't gotten any work done here but I've been to the shop and spoke to Dan about a 5-speed swap. IIRC I believe he quoted me 1k.

If you have all the parts, I can do it in my garage...
