    She Isn't Beautiful

Well here she is, She isn't beautiful but she is mine!

I am happy to say I finally found a 318is that is not a pile of crap, but it is worth wrenching on. I am a Long time Listener first time Caller.
This is my new DD so I hope to get her looking sexy and clean. I need some side trim because I picked it up with some missing. The hood was replaced and Rattle canned over so I need a new or used Alpine White hood or maybe just a better repaint. There is a few rust spots but that comes with the ageing.
    On to the Dirty E30

    The day I got it

Any questions Just ask, I am new to the E30 so I will need help.

    Thanks, Mack

You've got a lot of work ahead of you, but I can see the potential. The hood needs to stripped then go to napa and get some paint. Harbor freight sells spray guns and if you want you can take it back after using it. But then again, if I was in your spot I'd take it to the guy that does a $800 respray and do that. The interior looks pretty minty though.

Steven I would love a new paint job but at 800 It might take a while I am currently looking for work and school. That is an awesome idea though, other than the hood/ the paint is decent besides a few cracks and dull needs a wash / wax.

Thehemiman I hope I can get a few things done after work and drink a few.

Thanks Kronus, I need to do a few things first before I can say it looks decent.

I am in need of a hood but how much were you looking for?

I also am looking for an either used or new Lip and a new/used steering wheel

It's got a pair of dents from someone putting something on top of it, but they look pullable. Not expensive.. 30 bucks?

                I'm in Belmont.

An eta hood will be the wrong color for you, since your late model is Alpine II.

(incidentally this is why I'm getting rid of this hood, my car is Alpine I)

yeah thats not that far, I live across the Dumbarton we can work something out. I was looking and it seemed different color but it waould have been better than the Metallic grey/painted white one I have at the moment. Thanks

Looks pretty decent, but then again, we'd need pictures in the day time haha :P
Every nice e30 is a pile at one point or another, it just depends on how much time, energy, and detail you go into to bring her back

Mine started out as a pile of trash when I first got it. Now its a more-or-less prettier pile of trash. No e30 is every "finished", but you'll get to the point where you'll enjoy her daily; you just gotta enjoy here along the way

                    Welcome to r3v:

                    3. Enjoy e30s

(PS: pretty jealous of that interior though)

Sorry I wasn't able to take pictures today I was painting.

yeah this is perfect driving just the exterior is a little raggedy.
Yeah the interior is really nice beside a few cracks and little rip on the drivers seat.

My skin is thick and I have been lurking for a while now so I understand how r3vlimited is. I have always been into BMW's just never owned one, all my friends used to drive them (no e30's) though. I grew to love them by going to tons of meets. Reminds me of my 5.0 mustang notchback SSP my family used to have, But my mom totaled it along with my dads 69 mustang convertible.
