    Borbet B 16x7.5 +20 -- refinished complete package

Edit: gone to a deserving home, thanks for looking!

I'm selling my set of Borbet B wheels for $1,750 or best reasonable offer. Local pick-up in Los Angeles is the only current option, but shipping will be available if/when I can find boxes.

    Here is what you get:

    4 Borbet B wheels, 4 x 100, 16 x 7.5, ET20, 57.1mm centre bore fitment
4 waffle/hex centercaps with brand new oem BMW roundel decals
4 brand new locks and one key for the centercaps
    4 metal valve stems
    4 Borbet logo caps

The wheels were professionally refinished earlier this year -- soda ash dipped at Linco and painted by Speedway Polishing and Coating. They started as a straight, non-rashed original condition set, purchased from AC Nico and delivered from Germany.

    Now on to the pics:

This is how I intended to run them -- oem BMW-look and fitment, but bigger, wider, and with a better offset than oem weaves. Plus, the added bonus of the centercaps being secured by locks.

    With Borbet logo caps

    Paint-matched metal valve stems

I recently came across these pics and they really capture the look I was going for with these wheels.

Painted. Speedway does a great job painting wheels. I had my Alpinas refinished by them in 2010 and the paint has held up very well. They also do good work matching the color and finish of oem painted wheels.

I thought Type Bs are machine polished/cleared from the factory?

When I had the wheels refinished, I was going for an OEM BMW look, ie., I wanted them to look like BMW "weaves", hence the silver paint. I was not trying to replicate Borbet's original finish.
I believe you are correct though. Most of the Borbet B that I've seen are machined and cleared; and some are also painted black between the mesh. Sorry for the confusion.
