e30 US Ellipsoid and Euro Smiley Adjustment Repair service

Hello everyone i am a long time lurker here on r3v but have owned and worked on these cars over over 6 years and one of the common problems I've seen and had is frozen or broken adjustment screws.

I have a good connection with a supplier of Brand New Genuine adjustment screw assembles and nuts.

    Adjuster screw assembly
    Part # 63 12 1 385 397

    Adjuster Nut
    Part # 63 12 1 378 369

    What I am Offering

Step 1: You ship or drop off locally your Headlights

Step 2: Attempt to repair frozen adjusters.

Step 3: Replace broken or missing adjusters with brand new Genuine BMW parts.

Step 4: Test fit them to my vehicle and adjust them so they point straight and level.

Step 5: I send them back to your provided address in a well padded shipping box with insurance.

Let me know what you guys think. Is there anything you might want to suggest? Is there something i forgot?

    The Price:
$24 per adjuster to be replaced
    $6 per adjuster fixed
$175 for complete set of new Adjusters

NOTE: i will take detailed pictures of the condition of headlights as received and before shipping to avoid any accusations against myself. I also strongly encourage you take pictures yourself.

I also can have headlight trim rings powder coated any color for $50 added to cost.
    Q and A:

    A. When someone sends me i set i will do my best to fix the adjusters they have and
replace the one which are broken or non functional. Of course the customer would still have to pay for the labor needed
to fix the existing one but i would imagine it would be cheaper then replacing all 8.
But of course this would all be up to the customer. Some may want to just get all 8 replaced.

    Q. What if only a few of my adjusters are broken and i dont need them all replaced?
    A. Shoot me a pm and i would be happy to work out a price with you. It would take forever for me to list out a prices for all the different possibilities.

    Q. Do you replace lenses as well?
    A. As of right now i only replace the Low beam ASSEMBLIES as a whole and does not include bulb for $160 Brand new from Hella

Also good to point out that Headlights using the hydraulic leveling systems will be converted to Manual adjustment.

So the $160 price is the baseline for replacing all 8 adjusters and nuts?

the adjusters and caps alone can cost that. I think he's got a fair deal going.

This. It cost me about 180 in parts when I did it myself a few months ago. Well worth what he's asking IMO.

Yes the oem parts to fully replace all that stuff are definitely over $100, and if you don't know what you're doing it can be difficult. If all cups and adjusters are replaced i would say that is fair.

i assume you are asking when should you completely replace instead of repairing the existing one.
I was doing some thinking and was actually thinking of changing my strategy on how to go about this.
