    Rebuilt S38B36 engine FS

Hi guys. Returned back from work overseas and now looking to sell this engine.

    At a glance

    Motor - Vin WBSHD9315MBK05879
I purchased this engine in Feb 2012 from a shop in queens in poor condition. Bent intake valves, Rust pitting in the cylinders, Warped head from overheating and a fried ECU. The engine has been completely rebuilt and has about 1k on it since then. Work done:
    • Cylinders next size overbore with ross racing pistons. Compression ratio stock. Block was hot tanked and decked.
    • Lightweight aftermarket connecting rods
    • New valve guides and valves
    • New bearings. ARP main studs and line honed before assembly
    • New timing chain, oil chain, new sprockets on crank and oil pump. all chain guides new.
    • MLS head gasket, ARP studs
    • Injectors cleaned by VAC
    • New water pump
    • ECU sent out and repaired.
    • Head sent to VAC to be made true.

All Machine work was don't a Colvin machine in Merrick, NY. I still have the receipts. Probably more im forgetting but this is the major work that has been done.

Idle video and compression #s are from today 2-6-15

I have known Tom for MANY YEARS and I talked a lot with him when he was building this engine. I know he has WAY more into it than the 6k asking price, this is an insane steal! If I had the cash I know I would be buying this.
