Lately I have seen alot of Mtech cars popping up on the forum, I decided to post up one of my current projects. Working nightshift will do things to a man, like making him addicted to surfing craigslist. Early in the morning hours I found the ad below. 1992 325ic Mtech 2 with 111k miles within a few hours of me. After a call the next afternoon revealing a crack free dash, working odometer, heated seats and an LSD. I was traveling south with cash burning a hole in my pocket.
The car turned out to be pretty solid with a resonable and somewhat knowledgable seller. Seemed like he had taken good care of it and kept up with the maintenance. I made a low offer and to my surprise, he accepted. Did the paperwork and I was driving two hours back home.
The Car
Plans
Fix minor issues (antenna, trunk shocks, windshield)
Suspension Refresh (Lower/Stiffer possibly IE3 springs)
Wheels (I have a set of Kopi Alpinas laying around. Cliche I know)
New Top (Convert to manual)
Recover seats (perhaps cardinal red)
Audio (Lukebox)
Manual swap (Most likley next winter)
Mostly looking to make it a confortable summer cruiser to take to the beach, need to do a good detail but the paint looks to be in good condition overall. This was an impluse buy but I missed my old droptop too much to pass it up.
