Show me your gauges....
Looking into a gauge pod of some sort soon, let's see your gauge pods and setups, thanks. Ideally I would like a setup similar to those in the audi scene with the gauges set in the middle of the vents not totally removing them or making them useless.

^^^ That's the best location I've ever seen for the gauges.

I don't. I think that's probably 2nd to worst location that I've seen, because of akward angle and location right behind the shifter. I prefer the 3 gauge holder that goes in the space above the ashtray because I never use that space anyway, but I do use the ashtray as a coin tray and I use the 12v cigarette lighter outlet.

Also I have some spare LED modules in case something goes wrong... I bet one need more than US$500 to get some of those, and also he will need the senders, and the wire harness + installation... In any case, I just love those gauges ! Cheers / Pierre

Lately I've been toying with the idea of fabricating a Subaru-style gauge pod to sit on top of the dash above the air vents, would that make any sense or would it just look strange?

How about one of these:
http://www.plxdevices.com/products_DM100.htm Mounted in the left driverside vent next to the door. Then you would still have your center vents and it would still be in a good location. |
