Different markets had different cars.
Some did, some didn't.
I believe that U.S. cars never came with ///M badges.
The facelift models(m-techII) over here (Finland, Europe) didn't have ///M badges.
The earlier models had "///M-packet" which is much like is or sport over there. Those cars had plain M badges.
Any early body e30 could be ordered those ///M badges in Finland.
U.K. early bodies with M-techI had those badges.Current:

Genuine mtechnicII UK sports had an ///M on the boot as far as I know. Still took mine off when I got it to Ireland though!Comment

@ Egk2- I know the M-tech1 usually just had an //M badge/emblem on the grill.
@ MikeE30325i Look at mine; from factory kit blah blah. It's what you call an M-tech 1

i actually saw an mtech convertible, it was in crap shape, i started to cry
end of story, the front bumper and valence where all cracked

Whiles on this topics, am looking for Mtechnic badge for my front grill. cant seems to find it anywhere since its discontinued by BMW. Anyone have anysource s on where to find one?
