M3Rob95 is trying to rip me off

I sold him a 153 ECU for $70 shipped a couple weeks ago. I sent it out via USPS Priority Mail on March 8th. He is now claiming he never got it. Well on March 16th he filed a PayPal claim against me for this thing. Now I am going to get fucked out of a part and the cost of shipping because I don't have a tracking number for the part because HE did not request one. I do have a receipt showing it was shipped but PayPal insists I must provide a tracking number or they can't be of any help.

Watch out for this guy, he is shady. For all I know he has the part in hand.

If you shipped it March 8th... why are you posting a receipt from March 6th??

And this is a good reason why NOT to ship anything with USPS worth more than $5.

You still can't confirm with USPS that it was delivered?

LOL. Few months ago I sold a cluster to someone on e30tech and then this guy PM'ed me saying his cluster doesnt' work. When I told him I got no records of him buying one from me in email or paypal he then quickly said he must have bought it from someone else....

                    Interesting individual...

Just playing, I used to stick up for this guy and his sale of egk2's car, but more and more hes showing his true colors.

Give paypal the USPS transaction number.
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

                            Sounds fishy, I agree.

BUT, the Paypal rules are clear when it comes to tracking numbers and claims.

Just assume he didn't receive it, what then?? Do you just tell him he's fucked because he didn't ask for a tracking number?

As a seller, I think it's MY responsibility to get the parts into the buyer's hands. That means always getting a tracking number (even if you have to pay for it- but if you print USPS labels online- they give you delivery confirmation for free.). It's sort of tricky when it comes to delivery procedure- i.e.- Fedex and UPS leaving packages on the porch or whatever- but I've luckily not had problems with that.

But, if someone's trying to scam you and you've got some sort of proof- then I think they should have their balls put thru a veggamatic machine one at a time.

i purchased an item and never recieved it.... so who is "fucking asshole"?
                              me?
He should have spend 50c on a tracking # or delivery conformation. It is simple procedure regardless if I requested it. Now I am out 70 dollars and he is trying to flip this on me? I think he probably still has the DME in his car, as he told me when I sent him the $70.
