    oxygen sensor wiring help

it looks like I do not have the plug on my harness to connect the e36 oxygen. How should I connect it? The car is running right now just without an 02 sensor. I have a 318is an 92 325i non vanos

Did you cut it off or something?

You might wanna check out one of those bosch universal ones that are ment to splice, and you can splice that right in.

I can probably get both sides of that round connector if you guys need them.

Thanks, but I am not worried about the connector I will hard wire it. I just need to know what to connect it to. Does any one know?

Sorry to bump this one back up, but I could really use some help on this one. Does anyone have a 92 m50 wiring diagram ? Or know what wires I can hard wire the 02 sensor to?
                Thanks again

                  From the O2 sensor:

Pin 1 (black) - DME (pin 71 - voltage signal)
                  Pin 2 (yellow) - DME (pin 70 - ground)
Pin 3 (brown) - Ground (shielded)
Pin 4 (green) - O2 sensor relay (power)

Thank you, that is so much help, and that is from the e30 c101 connector side to the 02 sensor?

None of the wires I mentioned above run to or through the C101/x20. They are all integrated in your E36 harness.

Trace the wires coming out of Pin's 70 and 71 from the DME and terminal 87 on the O2 sensor relay and see where they terminate on your harness.

I think the harness was just snipped, so I would expect all the wires to terminate in a common location.

This came in handy when I noticed the salvage ripped my O2 connector off.

                            M52 O2 sensor problems

Hi Guys, still a newbie so sorry if its a dumb question, but has anyone had this problem with an M52?
I have an M52 (OBDII) from a '97 323i auto, I thought it has 3 O2 sensors (2 on headers and 1 just before CAT), thats also confirmed by exhaust diagrams on RealOEM and BMW parts catalogue.
My problem is, I can't find the plug for the 3rd sensor (before the cat). I also had a look on a 528i that was up on a hoist and it has no sensors after the headers. Can anyone shed light on this for me? Could the plug be on the body harness? I could only find a Bentley wiring diagram for the M52B28 from the 328i, it shows 4 O2 sensors (2 before the 2 cats on the split system I guess). I've struggled to find info on M52's in this area, and am getting a bit confused!
                            Thanks.
