A short backstory - I bought the '91 about 13 years ago as a daily driver, then set my eyes on autocross and track days. I poured my heart, soul, and wallet into it over time. Being originally from Massachusetts, it had some rust problems. At one point I decided to find a shell and purpose build it for racing. Enter the '89 - a California car with zero rust. Stripped (nearly) everything out of it, deleted the sunroof, and had a cage put in. Then, as life would have it, other projects and things got in the way and my interest waned. Now I'm planning on moving soon and don't want to haul two cars across the state, not to mention I'd like to have my garage back.
1991 325i, 5spd, black, 176k original miles
SO much done to this thing I'll probably forget most of it, but here goes...
THE GOOD:
MegaSquirt
Bigger injectors
Innovative wideband O2
Magnecor wires
Mishimoto AL radiator
MCS single-adjustable coilovers
Adjustable swaybar links
UUC Sway barbarians
Treehouse eyeball arms
New control arms
E36 M3 steering rack
Poly mounts in all the usual locations
IE shorty headers
Oil pressure and AFR gauges, and a third I can't remember what it is
4.10 LSD
New axleshafts and rear bearings
Lots of little refreshed parts, hoses, etc
E36 window switches
MOMO steering wheel (currently in the other car)
Interior is in pretty great shape
Extra 885 head
New, not installed parts:
MassiveBrakes front BBK (300x32mm with 1.25" pistons and 9lbs UL32 rotors)
Euro smilies
IS skirts and hardware
Front inner valance
Primed from fenders
Upper strut bar
BC racing custom 17x10's with tires
More poly bushings
THE BAD:
It's been sitting for a long while, it'll need the gas drained
Some critters chewed a few wires in the engine bay that'll need repair (minor)
MegaSquirt needs a proper tune
THE UGLY:
Rust - bottom of front fenders (I have replacements), hardlines for gas need replacing, rear quarter panel, probably needs floor pan work as well
1989 325i, 5spd, rolling shell
THE GOOD:
Rust free CA car
Sunroof delete
Custom roll cage
Already mostly stripped of parts, which I have and will come with it
THE BAD:
Shitty red maaco spray over an originally bronzit car
Front door hinges need repair
Doesn't come with the Recaros ;)
The ask is $6,500 to come haul everything away. You get both cars and ALL the parts and goodies (except my race seats).
