    1990 325is M60/6 speed

Finally decided to list my M60 swapped '90 325is for sale. I don't know the full backstory on this car, but apparently the owner who performed the swap passed away, the guy who sold it to me bought it in the Charlotte area from the owner's family... Pretty sure the guy I bought it from got it for cheap, and I got the "flip" mark-up. Either way, it's a solid car with a cool swap, but it really just needs some refinement and attention from someone who knows what they're doing. I've been improving on it since purchase, but just don't have the capacity these days for projects of this magnitude. I drive the car to work 2-3 days/week, and use it to haul around my MTB as my other vehicle doesn't have proper provisions. It's a fun car, just needs attention from an E30 enthusiast. See below for details, I have a google doc link below that pretty well outlines the condition, and I plan to add detail to this doc with any additional info that I change or discover. I've also pasted the content of that doc @ time of posting

      • Hood looks to have been resprayed. Crows feed and paint starting to chip. White or light color primer/sealer underneat
      • Light scratches all around- nothing that wouldn’t cut/polish out
      • Bumpers peeling / faded- Need to be repsrayed
    • Paint/Body defects
      • LF Fender- Large dent in front of wheelwell
      • Drivers door- shallow dent above beltline. PDR possible
      • LR Quarter- Shallow dent at lower edge of quarter panel, behind wheelwell
      • Rear Panel- Dent below RH tail light / license plate
      • RF Fender- Shallow dent on leading edge of fender
      • Valence- Decent shape. Had a shallow dent that was straightened. Faded and needs paint
      • Hood- Straight but some paint chipping
      • iS Lip- Ebay ~$80 lip but fits and snaps in nicely. All new black clips installed and intact
    • Underbody
      • No rust- Battery tray perfect
      • Rockers have been jacked up on, multiple places. They are not flattened and could be folded back into place with some skill
      • Subframes, diff mount all look good- no cracking/tearing

    Mechanical- Driveline
    • M60B40- Looks to be from e32 based on oil filter housing
    • S420G- Shifts great, no issues
    • 3.15 Torsen LSD from Z3- Recently cleaned, re-sealed and installed with fresh M1 75W-90 and Garagistic poly mount
    • Stock e30 rack- Power steering installed
    • Swap Specific Issues
      • Oil Filter housing needs to be moved- currently touches upper radiator hose
        • Recently installed a brand new Behr Z3M radiator
        • E39 M5 remote mount oil filter housing (NON-Gulf) included
      • Air Conditioning not installed
        • A/C all intact on interior side of firewall

        • Brake Booster touches drivers side valve cover
        • Brake pedal not consistent. Not enough braking power
        • Brake pedal doesn’t always return enough to release brake light switch

          • ABS relocate to battery tray
          • Air intake and/or oil filter housing relocated to ABS pump location
      • Driveline alignment- This car has stock subframe with NO subframe spacers, Garagistic engine mounts, CSB mount spacers, engine mount spacers to clear steering rack
        • Slight vibration at hwy speeds- Could be a U-joint, could be things just slightly out of alignment
        • Guibo touches shift rod when going to reverse or 2nd gear
      • Exhaust- Custom headers (not bad!) into newly built 2.5” downpipes → custom merge to 3” → Borla XS Power 3” offset muffler (just before fuel tank) → Vibrant 3” in / dual 3.5” out muffler. All V-bands
        • Slight exhaust leak @ header, drivers side
      • Temp gauge reads slightly over half on e30 gauge. Fan switch located in upper rad hose, fan runs more than I would like but car always holds steady temp. Heater core doesn’t always flow hot. I think coolant hose routing needs more thought. Does not overheat.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30
