I hear its a pain in the ass to get things federalized, but I've never imported anything. Do you know what has to be done to bring it into the US?

Yes, the car is in Canada, however it is not difficult to get the car over the boarder and registered in the States. I had the car registered in the states when I relocated for work and I had no issues with registration. All that is needed is to fax a copy of the importation documents to the boarded and then stop over on the way down with the car to get it stamped / signed. Then you can just register the car in your state as with any other car. Yes, it is that easy.

I have received numerous inquieries in regards to importing the car into US. The process is very easy and I am willing to help the buyer with the process. I can also drive with the potential buyer to the nearest boarder crossing to help with the paperwork. I have cousulted a friend of mine, who is a dealer that import and exports cars between Canada and US and he confirmed that there shouldn't be any issues with importing the car into US.
