Up sale sale today is what started life as a 1987 E30 325e. During the past 9 years of ownership, this car has been completely mechanically restored and modified by the Classic BMW specialists at BimmerHeads. This car needs nothing mechanically and is ready to jump in and drive! Clean CA title in hand with current registration.
During the mechanical restoration, the original M20B27 325e engine was swapped out for a rebuilt M20B25 engine from a 325i which was upgraded with a performance camshaft. The cooling system was converted to late model E30 spec. The car has complete tig-welded stainless steel exhaust system with Ireland Engineering shorty headers, Vibrant resonators, and a Ireland Engineering muffler. The engine bay has been shaved of its unnecessary bracketry and repainted. The underside of the vehicle has been completely cleaned and undercoated. The suspension has been completely gone through and upgraded with Ireland Engineering springs and Bilstein B8 shocks and struts. The front and rear brakes have been upgraded to Wilwood 310mm big brakes all around. The rear differential has been upgraded to a 3.73 limited slip.
The front valance, front bumper, and rear bumper have been replaced with Original BMW European spec parts. The headlights have been upgraded to Depo European spec. The windows have been tinted with 3M tint. The car has been repainted sometime in its life and the clearcoat is now failing. It's possible that the paint can be saved by re-clearcoating it but I can't say for certain.
I've covered the major details and have likely forgotten some of the smaller items. This car is a great value for someone who understands the costs involved to have an E30 specialist mechanically restore a vehicle. This is a great car that's looking for a great home. It will surely be missed.
