up for sale is 1984 318i 5speed (m10b18)
Odm. says 177k , last owner said it stoped when he had it, he only drove it for 3 months. I've put maybe 700 miles max on it.
Has allmost New tires all around.
Hard ruff idle when bought I fixed that, put new spark plugs and o2 in.
Will not pass smog due to the fact that it needs a New catlictic converter
I changed the oil around 500 miles ago, all so change the transmission and rear diff fluid with Tegra (75/w90 syn.)
The bad: Head gasket is cracked somewhere, the car throws some white smoke when first started, If ran hard in high rpms for a long time gets kinda hot 3/4 on Temp. Once you turn the heater on it drops below the 1/2 way point.
The upper oil pan has a leak I seme fixed that with some silicon for now..
The transmission was seeping but has been cleand down.
The worst : Since letting a friend try to drive the car ,cant get into 2nd gear 75% of the time. a week ago the trans got stuck in 5th gear once on the freeway. ( only time this has ever happend )
Body wise its not the best as shown in the pics, looks like one of teh past owner maybe rolled aganst a poll or such on teh rear 1/4 panel, im sure this can be pulled and roll the fenders and call it a day. slight dent on front passanger valance, clear coat and paint pealing , I panited the Hood , Roof , and trunk flat black only one coat needs one more to look fresh.
one lense on teh fog light way busted.
I changed the sealed beams to e34 projector's, needs some mounting done but for now isnt bad.
put a cone filter ( K&N type )
the dash has 3 cracks , the driver seat has a big hole in it, the back seat is in good shape has one tiny hole cant even notic it. the pass. seat is in good shape no holes or cracks. I took the headliner out beause it had 3 holes and yea took everything out. Car has a full size spair bottel cap with 75% tread.
Last owner put a IS spoiler on it , when i paint the trunk i sanded it down but didnt fix most of teh cracks.
I cant really think of anything else about the car.
If your in the LA area im pretty sure if you can drive a TSM well you would make it home just fine , never panic! lol
asking : $700 or best offer, Im still not 100% if i want to sell or not. ohh yea most important! The car is CLEAN TITLE!
