    Did BMW make a 4 door E30 325is?

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy another bimmer. I've already got an '86 325e and I want something faster and with four doors so I can toss a couple kids in the back. After searching for awhile I've come to the conclusion that a four E30 325is does not exist. Am I correct? If so, what exactly are the other differences between the "i" and the "is"?

    Thanx for your help.

There are no 4-door e30-series BMWs with a 325iS designation.

Difference between an i and an is: limited-slip diff, rear spoiler, front spoiler, 13-button OBC, sport seats, (disputably) different springs, slightly higher rate.

Most of that list gets taken on and off e30s like 15-year-old girls go through clothes. The only real big deal is the limited-slip diff, and that is fairly easy to find and trivial to swap into a 325i.

Besides the looks of the car and maybe a little better suspension, the motors are exactly the same. Buy a 4 door 325i and you can add the "is" components from ebay or here as you like for very cheap.

325i could be optioned with all the same stuff and sometimes was. I have bought numerous plain 325i 2 and 4 doors with upgraded oem parts according to the build sheets.

There are guys that work in dealers that will pull the factory build sheet from the data base if you ask nicely sometimes.

But to answer the question NO. but the iS was a US optioned car everywhere else this car was just a 325i with an option build list.

Thanx for the info guys. I'll prolly end up building a four door "is" then. I actually like the M-tech style spoiler better then the IS but I definitely want that limited slip diff and I'm prolly gonna go with H&R or Ground Control for the suspension.

              It was called the SE

but never badged. DMV title should say "325se". Goggle "e30 Arinuts". You could had ordered it with all the options as an IS. They had sport seats WITHOUT the tilt feature etc.

The 325es was a sport option of the "e" engine and diving board bumpers. This is the same engine you have now with the Recaro seats and 87is front air dam.
