Still looking for that nice cabrio

Looking for a nice cabrio at a good deal. Prefer a stick with a dark interior. Post 88. Wish list includes newer top, nicer wheels, low miles, recent timing belt. I said it was a wish list didn't I. Will pay a fair price. The delusional need not respond.

If you're think post-88 because of the bumpers you'll want to change that to a build date after 10/90. Cabrios didn't get plastics until then.

    1987 E30 cabrio | Bumper swap | H&R Sport | Koni Yellow | Eibach Sways | BavAuto strut bar | Cardinal seats
    MTech2 wheel | Husco Armrest | Smoked Hella Smileys | 5k HID | Stromung | RS003
    | Shadowline | Amber Fogs | Too much else to list

      Bumpers

My understanding is that the metal bumpers were retracted a bit in 88 and IMO they look acceptable. I do agree that the plastics look the best.

Metal bumper shocks WERE shortened about an inch in 88.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

            Bumper shortening

Would I do this like I did it on on my 75 02. Drill holes in bumper shocks and try to avoid getting squirted in the face by the hydraulic fluid.

That is how I did mine. Personally I think the plastics make the E30 look too modern (especially on the cabrio for some reason) - chrome euro bumpers would look the best, but the DB bumpers tucked are a much cheaper option - and with the painted bumper surrounds on a cabrio they look just fine IMO.
