Basic Description
This is your baller daily driver. I chose to leave this M42 completely stock for gas savings and reliability. It's fast around corners, but there's no hope on the straight line. Drive it like an idiot and you'll still do 25mpg. Awsome handling car. A/C works great. After owning 10 e30s, this is the most comfortable e30 I've ever owned. And I did it for a reason. This motor is stock to keep the gas savings and I want to like driving my car. I want to be comfortable doing it. You could drive to CA in this car and not worry about it. The reason for sale is the drift car. I'm constantly moving too much stuff around and I am facing reality that I could benefit from a truck. I'd hate doing it because this is an awsome daily, and I'd be going to a shitty, gas hogger... all in the name of a truck bed and the ability to tow.
Recent Maintenance:
(In the last 5k miles)
Brand spanking new Cylinder Head by German Autos (car originally bought with a bad headgasket and cracked head)
Timing Chain Tensioner
Alternator Belt
Two oil changes + filters
Spark Plugs
New clutch (not installed yet)
New water pump (not installed yet)
(In the last 20k miles)
The PO was a customer of mine. I have all his invoices printed up + all the service records he could provide for me.
Among those you can find : New control arm, bushings, other suspension overhaul pieces, general maintenance. Receipts for M3 diff, etc.

Rear 17x9 +20 - Bridgestone (some japanese model) 215/40/17
Exterior:
Front iS lip spoiler
Custom splitters
Euro Smileys
Euro Grills (BMW OEM, not the sh*tty aftermarket)
H1 8000k HIDs
Smoked side markers
Smoked front turn signals
Black kidney grill
Fog light blanks (car originally came with fogs tho)
US Plate Filler
E28 Mtech spoiler (not installed yet)
Interior:
Top Secret Personal Steering Wheel
Steering wheel spacer + Unknown German hub
Recaro Speeds (Grey suede)
E38 Auto-dim mirror (not installed yet)
JAnderson's Recaro brackets
Euro Analog clock
Euro 325i instrument cluster
Alpine CD/MP3 Headunit
Aftermarket speakers (Can't recall brand right now, nothing crazy special though)
iPhone/iPod cable
E46 Leather shift knob
The bad:
- Only rust found is in the sunroof. It's pretty severe but it has not reached the body yet. It did reach the rail on the drivers side so the sunroof crank only moves the passenger side rail. It can all be replaced, but I am in no huge rush as it does not leak.
- Car has a tendency to slowly overheat if you sit in traffic too long. It does so a bit quicker if the A/C is on. I narrowed it down to A/C electric fan that's unbalanced and probably not being effective. (You notice when you turn on the A/C that the fan starts vibrating the car slightly... noticeable if you're holding the wheel)
- The headlight reflectors are not in the best of shape. Still light up the road, but I've seen better. High beams work cherry though :)
- True mileage uncertain. If the PO was correct, then the car had 160k miles when I bought it. I put 5k miles since so ~165k miles. I have the original cluster, which reads 147,241. (Odometer does work on the euro cluster though)
- Exterior is an 7/10. The car has been in an accident, and the only evidence of it is when you pop the trunk and you see some of the repair work. It's probably why the car was repainted, but the paint is fading. There's no clear coat damage, so it's even. Since it's even, I never bothered too much, although plans for a respray were in the list in the future.
- Interior is 8/10. The dash has a few cracks (can supply a new crack-free dash) but I got a dash cover over it. The Recaro seats are suede and it is slightly worn, but the main concern is really how the interior is mis-matched. I got a quote of $300 to redo the seats. I was going to chase down black panels and switch all but the carpet to black. If someone wants to front the extra $300, you'll have brand new Recaros.
- Rear wheels have their paint stripped at the edges of the lip. It's due to hitting the 1/4 panels under very hard cornering.
The good:
Everything else. Motor pulls strong. Transmission shifts great. All electricals work. A/C in Florida is a blessing. I can provide a few references who have driven this car and vouch for it's comfort and awsome daily driving abilities.
The bottom line:
Awsome car. Isn't perfect drives straight and handles great. If you're looking to get from A to B in an awsome fun manner, than this car is it. Most of the issues are purely cosmetic, so it gives you the change to upgrade as you go. With the wheel setup and the mods, if I did not have cosmetic issues, I'd place this car at 7000obo as a clean example of what an e30 should be. Quick reminder that if you'd like to grab yourself a set of Work Eurolines in 4x100 in e30 offset and 9" wide, you'd be set back about $2000-2200. Plus tires.
Given that this car needs paint and reupholstering to do become mint, then I am placing the car at $5000 FIRM. I will accept trades for trucks, and have no problem meeting half way anywhere in the country since I am extremely confident on this car's reliability. Also, if you'd like to skip some work, with an extra $500, I will have the interior reupholstered + the black door cards.
At this point selling this car is not a must, but it'd just be the wiser decision. I'd just rather see it in an enthusiasts' hand.
Thanks for looking.
