1985 323i coupe FS - grey market euro - midwest

I store and work on my cars at a friend's house across town and he has sold his house. As a result, I'm having to whittle my "collection" down, and sell off my rainy-day parts.
This car was purchased from the guys at Two Nice Guys Automotive in SoCal... it ran like a lightweight top 2,400 miles all the way home to Minnesota, and hasn't had any action since, other than a car wash and a 10 mile workout every 2 weeks or so.

I have a clean Minnesota title in hand, and this car comes with all emissions paperwork since imported. It was a California car its entire life, and just passed CA emissions 9 months ago.

Per previous owner: "For sale is an all original European import 323i. Car is blue on blue with a clean California title. Never been wrecked, original paint, original everything. A big plus is the sidemarkers were installed in the bumpers, NOT the body! The last two owners of this car have been BMW mechanics."

    Equipped with...
    Crank windows
    Power sunroof
    Analog clock
    MTech 1 steering wheel
    Clean, straight European bumpers
    European front valance
    European grilles
    OEM rear sunshade
    Complete trunk toolkit
    OEM first aid kit
    OEM fire extinguisher
    3.46 differential
    Rear trunk spoiler
    Rear foglights

    New parts:
    H4 Euro headlights
    OEM shift boot
    OEM shift knob
    89 325iS transmission
    Late model shifter
    Z3 1.9 short shift kit
    Center support bearing
    Bosch spark plugs
    Mahle air filter
    OEM intake boot
    All fresh fluids

MECHANICALLY, there are no issues whatever with this car. The suspension rides nicer than my other e30's... shocks are KYB components, nothing special. Tie rods good, exhaust is perfect and OEM, brakes are in great shape w/ lots of pad life, shift linkage is awesome, . It drives like a rwd 6cyl sports car ought to, and it's ready to be a solid daily driver or project car.

COSMETICALLY, it's not perfect. The paint doesn't look as bad in person, but it won't quite buff out either. What an awesome color, though... I've never seen cosmosblau, ever. Other than the fender dent pictured, there are no dings and dents. If you've read this far, you're probably not the smug, anal-retentive councours-worshipper type who can't see any potential.
About the seats: Structurally, they're perfect, and they're very comfortable and usable. If "ultimate sleeper" isn't your thing, I have a full set of black vinyl sport seats that I could sell to the next owner.

PM with any questions. $3,000 is the price.

I don't think it was there when I looked, I checked three times, maybe it's the Idaho getting to me.

just to clarify, this car is IN MINNESOTA.... sorry if I was not clear. It was a California car for its first 25 years, until I drove it back earlier this year.

This car would go to Argentina and back, IMO... good rubber, good brakes, all new fluids <3k miles ago. Not a peep from this car on my road trip home, and it hasn't dropped any oil at all since parking it.

The cluster is frozen @ 100k. There are roughly 120-130k on the car now.

Such an awesome running car and super fun to drive.

                      The buyer will love it.

So does this have an m20? And is it actually 2.3 litre or is it still a 2.5?

                            m20b23 ... this one has ~ 150hp/150ft-lbs

FWIW, the old girl just passed CA emissions in September of last year, and I still have many receipts from prior inspections.
