I am selling and 88 E30 Convertible, the car is in fair condition and runs great. The car will not pass smog because it needs a new catalytic converter. I hear it is common with older cars especially when they have 233,000 miles on them. Their is financing available to get your car ready to be smogged. Though the smogging of the car will be up to you. I have done a lot of work to the car within the last 6,000 miles; I have replaced all four tires(2,000 mls ago), the idol censor, the head gasket, a new front rack unit was installed, a rebuilt transmission and torque converter (approx 100,000 mls on them) and the timing belt was replaced right before i purchased the car last year. I do have all the receipts. As you can see in the pictures the car is fairly clean, the front interior has a few tears but is in working condition. The back seat is in great condition and was just replaced because the original was sun worn and falling apart. The car has a pioneer cd player installed and all the speakers work fantastic. The top is about 3 years old and very well taken care of, the back window is still see through!! The paint on the car is in good condition with a few clear coat problems and few scratches. As you see the hood is a different color. I just got a new hood for the car because someone backed into my car at work and i can not afford my deductible. If you put a decal on the hood it will look awesome and sporty.
I recently went to drive the car and it was idling a little ruff, so i took it to my mechanic. He said that a tune up should fix the problem. So you should look into getting one soon. Although it still runs very smooth once you get into 2nd gear.
With that I am selling the car as is, as you all know E30s are very popular cars for a reason; the last forever! Please no low ballers, I am open to all offers though. Im selling the car to get an enclosed trailer for my band. If you have one I would be interested in a trade with some cash depending on the size and condition.
