I recently purchased a ’99 E36 M3 and I’m being forced to sell my beloved E30.
I purchased the vehicle in March of 2005 and have been daily driving it ever since. For the first few years it was just an around town car, but after deciding to commute to school about 25 miles away, it has seen nothing but highway duty for the last year and a half.
1991 318is brilliant rot on tan
5-speed, obviously.
~200K miles.
A/C will be hooked up before sale.
Exterior holds a shine, but isn’t spectacular.
Interior is clean, but the driver’s seat is quite worn.
Dash is fairly clean with only minor cracking.
Absolutely zero rust on the car whatsoever.
I tried my best to keep the car maintained well; it has always seen regular maintenance. Oil was meticulously changed at 2500 miles prior to the odo failing, and changed probably even more frequently following the failure. When I purchased the vehicle it had 172K miles, but both the gas and coolant gauges didn’t work, so I replaced the entire cluster with a unit out of a 325is that read 188K. This odo failed at ~206K and hasn’t been working for about 8 months. I say the mileage is ~200K because I have probably driven the car no more than 10K since the odo failed. Think of it however you like, but the engine still happily pulls to its 7200rpm redline.
Here is a list of things I have replaced during my ownership:
OE Brembo rotors F/R
OE Pagid brake pads F/R
OE Sachs Clutch/PP (seals were replaced)
OE TOB
OE Bosch ignition wires
MarkD 91 octane chip
All shifter bushing
Fuel pressure regulator
Oxygen Sensor
TB boot
Vacuum hoses (removed TB heater)
Rear shock mounts
Guibo
195/65/14 ZE 912’s (< 5K miles, excellent wear)
I would like to get $2500 or best offer.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post in my thread, I have nothing to hide and would like any potential buyers to be aware of any details I may have forgotten.
I will update this thread with interior pictures as soon as I take some.
Here are some exterior shots, with some of the major blemishes highlighted at the end.
