    [FS] Red/Black 1986 BMW 325e E30 1400 [MA/RI/NH]

    sold!

    Hey everyone.

My name is Johnny and I'm a member of e46fanatics.com as RED2000323Ci. I figured this would be the best place to come to try and sell my e30. So without wasting any more time, here it is:

Up for sale is a clean title (in hand) 1986 BMW325e. e30 body style. Car runs amazing. Very smooth clutch. 5 speed stick shift manual. Black interior, power windows, sunroof, power mirrors, paint is red and shows age a little. The interior is flawless. All maintenance has been done. Changed engine oil every 5,000 miles. Next oil change due in 5,000 miles, as I just changed it (July 27). I am a BMW enthusiast who respects these vehicles and maintains them thoroughly. Here is a list of parts I've replaced and the owner had done before me: (receipts will be included)

    Mileage: 160,xxx

    Alternator
    Bushing
    Right side inner tie rod
    Muffler pipe
    Water pump
    Wheel hubs (front)
    Left side wheel bearing
    Brake master cylinder
    Full brake line system
    Rotors Front/Back
    Calipers Front/Back
    Air filter
    Fuel filter
    Spark plugs
    Power windows (swapped motors)
    Door handle (Drivers door)
    Interior lights/trunk light

    Known issues
You will need to replace the right side shock absorber. Both rear windows don't go up or down. Left rear door doesn't open from the inside. Power steering doesn't work. Besides that car runs great and has no mechanical issues or leaks.

    $1400 OBO
PM me for more info/my email/schedule a test drive.

Why am I selling you may ask?

I've decided I want an M3, so after I let this one go, I will be selling my 00 323Ci. Both will be investments for an e46 M3:mrgreen:

I also posted this in the Boston craigslist section:

When you say power steering doesnt work, did the pump just take a crap? How easily do you think it would be to replace?

Where are you located, think the car will make it too newport?

^^Yeah, so the pump needs to be replaced if you absolutely need power steering. Let me clarify something about that though. The only part of the ride that feels hard to turn the steering wheel is when you first start the car. That's it. Once you get it rolling, it's as if the car has power steering, no greater force is needed on your behalf to make turns. That's why I never bothered to get it fixed. In my opinion it would be a complete waste of money. You literally cannot feel a difference once the car starts moving.

It will definitely make it to Newport, I took it to Connecticut last week for a concert. I never feel worried about taking it long distances. I'm in Providence a lot, so if you're interested PM me, I can give you my cell number.

                  Thanks for showing interest.

I know what your saying, my friends 85 RX7 has no power steering, its just a bitch to park he tells me, I Do alot of Parallel parking in Downtown Newport, So it might be necessary to replace it eventually

Any more known rust besides near the pedal, and it looks like some on the fenders.

                    Paint in good condition?

And this is the front or rear shock absorber?

^^ I won't lie, as I'm trying to be as honest as possible about the car. There is lots of rust underneath the car, mostly in the rear.

Paint shows age, but mainly near the edges of body panels.

And it's the front (right side) shock absorber that should be replaced.

EDIT- The inside of the car has little to no rust (only trunk area). It's the exterior (bottom of the car) that has rust. Interior is literally flawless.

I have no doubt in my mind that it will pass inspection. I am confident enough in saying that I will buy the car back if it doesn't.

I never did any timing belt work, and I doubt the owner before me did.

hmmm....how many miles have been put on the car since you had it, and the po did the timing belt, maybe the timing belt was done and the water pump wasn't, then the waterpump started to fail so he got that done?...I'm just trying to think positive.

Sorry for all the questions.Just interested, you seem to know alot about the car too, which is good.

Oh, and what state is the car registered in?
