Thank you for taking the time to look at my classified ad. School is coming up very shortly for me, and although I have felt around and played with the idea of selling this car, the time has finally come to make it a reality. I am extremely reluctant to let this car go, because it has been so good to me, and I have never really seen one like it. I am listing it on a few BMW sites (r3v, bfc) with all hopes that another enthusiast will pick it up. I will do everything I can to keep it away from eBay, but if I am unable to sell it here, that’s what I’ll unfortunately have to do.
It took me a lot of searching to find this car when I bought it, and I knew it was something unique. Currently the car has only 108,xxx miles on it, that’s around 5,400 miles a year since it was new. I have owned the car for 2-3 years, and I have put around 4,000 miles on it I believe. I may be young, but I take excellent care of this vehicle, and I do not molest/abuse it in any way. Up until the last 5 months, the car has been garaged for as long as myself and the previous owner have owned it. I have a stack of receipts, some that the PO gave me, and some that are from my records that I will pass down to the next owner. This car started it’s life in Maryland, then moved to Virginia before coming to New York. That means it was free from winter weather and salt for much of it’s life. Plain and simple - this is a beautiful example of a clean e30 that is well documented and well taken care of. I do not have every receipt throughout it’s lifetime, but I have much more than your average owner would have. For peace of mind and to prove my point, I have ran an AutoCheck report to show the records and cleanliness of the car, so just let me know if you would like me to send it to you.
I would love to keep the car, but I am starting my sophomore year at Cornell and just don’t drive the car enough to justify keeping it, especially when I could use the money for my house or school. I drive the car 3-4 months out of the year at best, so getting something that I can use all year round is a big deal to me. This is why I may consider trades for a 5 or 7 series, but at this point I am probably looking to just sell outright.
Here is an abbreviated list from the records and receipts that I will give to the next owner. I am sure there are things I am forgetting, but these are almost all documented, so I wanted to start with them.
If I forgot to mention, the car is located in Ithaca New York. Most people haven’t heard of Ithaca, but if you know of Cornell or Ithaca College then you know what I’m talking about. I am more than happy to ship the car as long as the buyer pays and arranges the details, and all payments have been received and cleared on my end first.
Please contact me by private message if you have any questions or would like to reach me personally over email or the phone.
My asking price is $6,000 and I may consider trades for a 5 or 7 series.
