at the moment i think the car is more marketable with two sets of wheels to have/choose from so they will stay with the car for now. Thank you

Some cell pics from the last few days~
Changing the valve cover gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets, and breather hose before I left on Friday.
nice n' clean :)
The exhaust gaskets are now very pretty and not stained with oil and brand new now. I had a small leak that had gotten onto them from a small crack in the breather hose.
Mounting the LTWs. (dirty car)
Did not get any pics while at the KC auto-x but snapped these on the rainy way home at 4-7am. and then the last two in my driveway 2 hours ago :-D (kinda dirty car)
Thanks for looking!

It is in my experience that FS adds function worse with paragraph upon paragraph of information. The serious potential buyers have no problem contacting me. But if you would like to see the PM verbatim then here it is.
Hello Vlad,
First off, thanks for your interest. I plan to answer all your posted questions and more. First off, this is an original mileage 92' Mtech-II car with the factory 5 speed. As an enthusiast I do not feel the need to push the relative rarity of the car itself to you. I acquired the car in May of 2007 and have owned it since 83,000 miles. The previous owner to myself was a middle aged woman and before her, a older male family member. The documentation before my ownership is small but the car was maintained as you can imagine by a middle aged woman.
The modification of detriment by them was in dealing with the power top system. Im guessing the motor failed on them in one of those years, and being pricey they chose to convert it to manual. In dealing with the boot lid they merely put tabs in to hold it down as opposed to the locking boot lid mechanism. A relatively easy fix. The tops itself is the original BMW top and is in rough-ish shape. It fulfils its task and the actual canvas is in pretty good shape with a few spots of wear. The back plastic window however is braking along the bottom side and Ive always used a clear Scotch (automotive) tape to remedy that problem. As I said, it functions as it should but I either keep the car covered or in the garage when able. It has two areas of leak under heavy rain. All in all, Id suggest ultimate replacement. If I were to keep it, I was/am on the hunt for a hardtop and would opt for that route.
The car was purchased in KC Missouri but prior to that was a California car if my records are correct. The ONLY spot of rust was beneath the front battery tray but I treated it with rust stop upon discovery and sprayed it with primer, then a coat of alpinewhite II paint. Then I employed a battery tray liner to prevent that ever happening again. It is important to note it was surface rust only and did not eat through the battery tray or surface. Cause no doubt by the battery acids.
The clutch and tranny have always been a perfectly functioning aspect of the car since my ownership and I have done nothing to modify/repair them as I have not seen the need. I have as of late been on the hunt for a Z3 1.9 SSK to liven up the linkage.
I have only repaired/repainted the car in one area. That being the mtech II front valance as it had suffered two cracks from the PO. The kit is all genuine BMW with no replica replacements. The paint matching went very well and I was very pleased with it as having done it myself. An amatuer lol.
This is an excellent little car. Not perfect. Not even a concours car, but original, low mileage, nicely modified, and alot of fun. It gets raves EVERYWHERE she goes. She made a trip to KC with me last weekend and a few of the E30 guys up there got an opportunity to salivate over her. Doug Hitchcock, Tim England, and Chris Conant all had flattering things to say about her.
There is alot to know about the car. please generate some more questions for me. I will be 100% honest and willing to talk.
Thank you,
