WTB Late Model E30 Cab - CLEAN IS A MUST!

Hey guys, I am new here but I would like to find a very cleanly modded E30

    - Must be a stick
    - Would prefer low miles
    - Would like Black or Alpine
    - Must be a 91 or later

I am willing to pay for the right car. Feel free to post all leads here.

    Thanks in advance.

I've got a '92 with E36 5-lug, S52-OBD1 and ZF trans, Mtech2 kit. 120K chassis, 71K engine. Fresh white paint, fresh top, California rust-free chassis, mint dash. Salvage title. Very nice but not perfect. I'll do a complete write-up if you're interested. Looking for maybe $11K or so.

        Think it was 2.9K

An expensive clean car on DC craigslist as well 5K Black over red on 15" eu weaves.

Thanks for all the replies guys... This is a great board. I don't know how to quote multiple people, so I will try to address each suggestion here.

Jeff_b, I really don't need anymore projects, but yours has lots of potential.
funcrew, could you post a few pictures?
Hugh Jass ;), That is as clean as they get, but no green, or bronze!

Keep 'em coming guys. I am selling my Ferrari to free up some cash and really want a nice E30 toy!

A friend of mine has a mint Mtech 2 vert he might sell. Clean title and low-er miles. White with a mint white/black interior. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=148843

                1992 BMW 325iC S52-OBD1 & E36 5-LUG
Short version: Very good looking car and with good power and tight, smooth handling. California Smog Legal with door sticker. Very few imperfections, especially compared to typical 20-year-old BMW’s. Engine/transmission swap was professionally done, and it shows. Fast, well balanced, and tight. Adult-owned (40+) since the engine swap was done.
                CHASSIS
Rust-free California chassis, never seen snow. Odometer stopped at 117K in August 2008. Car has been driven roughly 4K (2K after swap) since then, so 121K total. Very young by BMW E30 standards.
                S50 ENGINE SWAP
Donor: 1999 M-Roadster, 69K miles when swapped, 71K now. Engine swap was done by Two Nice Guys Automotive in La Crecenta, CA, a leading installer of ultra-clean 24-valve swaps into E30’s. At the same time as the engine swap, TNG rebuilt the power steering pump, installed a fresh set of used US-spec elliptic headlights, serviced the driveshaft with new flex disc and center bearing, and installed various seals and gaskets on the engine where needed. They also installed a new pilot bearing and throw-out bearing for the clutch. Transmission is a ZF non-overdrive 5-speed out of a 1995 M3, miles are about the same as the engine. The shift linkage was all rebuilt, and shifting is tight and positive.
                Radiator: Behr
Flywheel: Lightweight, unknown vendor. The clutch chatters very slightly as is typical with lightweight flywheels, but works fine.
                Clutch: Stock E36 M3
                Transmission: E36 ZF 5-speed
                Shifter: E36 M3
                Differential: medium-case 3.25 LSD. Tight & quiet.
Exhaust: Hard to say, I’m guessing stock E36, it’s not E30 but does not look aftermarket. Very deep and throaty exhaust sound, not terribly loud.
                5-LUG SWAP
                FRONT:
                Control arms: E36 M3
Struts: E36 M3 with offset (extra camber) upper strut mounts.
Brakes: E36 M3, newer rotors, calipers, & pads
                Sway bar: big, unknown brand
Control arm bushings: E30 M3, solid rubber & offset
                REAR:
                Trailing arms: E36 318ti
Brakes: E36 318ti with new rotors, calipers, & pads
Shocks: E36 318ti. Sway bar: unknown, thicker than stock E30
Wheels: ASA Revolution in 17X8.5 (I think) in normal E36 offset. Tires are 225-45-17 all around, which are too tall. 235-40-17 would fit better. Considerable curb rash on several of the wheels
                PAINT & BODY
Repainted in 2006, still looks excellent.
MTech2 body kit has 2 minor areas of damage: 1. The usual cracks in the front air dam from parking curb dings. 2. Crack in the left rear quarter panel, probably from too-tall tire impacting the plastic. The paint has flaked off adjacent to the damage. Both of these are very easy fixes.
Convertible top has newer black canvas. Electric top works great, however the cover/lid actuator has a broken lever. That means that the cover won’t latch when the top is down. New lever available at Pelican Parts for less than $50. Even better, the flap could be converted to manual operation easily and cheaply by someone who’s handy with such things.
                AIR CONDITIONING
E36 compressor, E30 everything else. Blows cold but requires re-charging at the beginning of the summer, with (this year) one more can in mid-August. So it leaks a bit, but at $35 per season, how can you complain? System has been totally evacuated & filled with Freeze12 refrigerant and oil (same as R12 oil). Fan works on all speed settings. Heater works great.
                INTERIOR
Tan leather sport seats are in good shape. There is considerable spider-web stress marking on the front seat bolsters. No splits in the rear seat top. All leather treated liberally with Leatherique to restore the oils & good stuff to keep it from drying out. Dash is mint with no cracks. All gauges work except for the odometer. The OBC is non-operating and tipped into the dashboard. Glove box latch works great. All windows, door, and trunk latches all work.

I'd rather that you buy my S52, but this one looks very nice if you want a stock example.
