    E30 S50 Supercharged ---> Update

Below you will find some recent pictures of the car.

The car started it's life as a 91 318is. Currently the engine is the S50 which is the 95 3.0L M3 engine with the addition of VF Engineering supercharger stage one kit with upgraded blow of valve. The SC kit was custom fitted to fit the E30 body and it works perfectly. The original mileage on the engine was 70k miles and currently it has about 80k miles. The transmission is the ZF and came as part of the original engine swap. The differential was replaced with the LSD 3.25 ratio diff, out of an E28, to improve drivability and make use of all the extra power. The exhaust was custom build out of stainless steel components, all mandrel bent. The piping size is 2x2.25" with two stainless steel high flow cats and two stainless steel resonators, with stainless steel x joint. I also added some durability/safety items during the installation of the supercharger kit. These were Bavarian Performance coils, new 255 Walbro fuel pump, and new fuel and air filters. Overall the reliability of the drive train is great. I had no issues with the setup since the supercharge has been put on (about 3k miles) which includes city and highway driving as well as some track time (drag strip, earlier this summer 13.2 on current tires). The car can definitively be driven as a daily driver, it has a working AC system and the ride is quite civilized for the setup, with exhaust tone being on the loud side when at full throttle.

Within the last 3 years the car also received the following upgrades:
Fuel tank and all fuel lines.
Ireland Engineering Steel Braded Brake lies
    Ireland Engineering Sway Bars
    Ireland Engineering Short Shifter
    Ireland Engineering front offset bushings
Ireland Engineering rear trailing arm bushings
    All new ball joints
    New diff bushing
    New front upper shock mounts/bearings
    New front wheel bearings
    Sparco front swaybar
    Sparco rear swaybar
    Koni Yellow adjustable shocks
    B&G springs
    IX dual diaphram brake booster
    Large E36 aluminum radiator

    For exterior stuff:
    Front Hela Tinted Epsyloids
    Front Euro Grills
    Rear Euro lisence grill
Fabulous condition BBS RS 16x8, 4x100 wheels w/ Toyo T1S tires

    For interior stuff:
    Perfect 318is sprot cloth interior
Euro Style Momo wooden steering wheel (can be changed for a momo leather)
    Euro Style wooden shift knob
Alpine CD deck (lights up same color as interior)
    Rockford Fosgate 900W amp
IPP 12" sub in a box

So now for the price. If I count all the things that I have put into the car and the labour, etc. I spend close to 24k on this car. However being in the tuning scen for a long time, I know one can never get back what they put into the car. So my original post was asking $15,500 cnd for the car. If I will have to keep the car for this winter it will cost me approx. $1,600 for insurance and storage, so I decided to pass this savings on to a potential buyer. So the current asking price is $13,900.

    PRICE $13,900 Canadian

be still my heart. That is one of the best E30s i have seen. Perfect set-up. With better tires i am sure your car will break into the 12s.

But a few suggestions: with all that money put into the car, why don't you get a clean "i" or "iS" lip to make the edges of the car clean, and paint the rockers trim black, or with rubber paint.

how much without the BBS wheels?
Also, I think with this being a Canadian car, will there be issues bringing it over here and trying to register it?
              Any rust?

it's simple. just call bmw canada (the only number i have in my phone for bmw is 800-831-1117. not sure if that's bmw canada or north america, but I'm sure they can put you in the right direction). give them the vin, and they fax you 2 letters: 1 that it's emissions compliant and 1 that says it's free of recalls. Then swap in a speedo in MPH and you're good to go

NO NEED FOR ANY OF THAT!!! Since the car is over 15 years old you don't need any letters to bring the car to the US. I actually had this car in US when I was relocated due to work to Ohio. The only requirement will be to send paperwork (downloadable from the net) to the boarder 72hrs before getting there for them to process the car and that's it. I can definitively help any interested buyer with this process. (I have brought my M3 from the US to Canada the same way).

Give me a call and we can discuss the price without the wheels. I can definitively work with that offer, since I wouldn't mind keeping the wheels.

The reason why the car doesn't have an IS lip is becuase I have an original Alpina lip that I was planning to put on the car once it got painted. I will offer the Alpina lip to the potential buyer if interested.
