1987 bmw 325

An older man (most likely a teacher or a professor) has been driving this around campus at Fresno State for a while now.
I just saw the for sale sign on it, so I thought I'd post it here maybe someone is interested.
He is asking 2500 for it, but I'm sure it can go for less.
It's in very good original condition with bottlecaps, crackless dash, and a 5speed tranny.
There is only one surface rust spot under one of the taillights the size of a quarter coin.

I couldn't see it that day, but I checked it out a few weeks ago and IIRC, it was under 200.000
But the best way to get some info would be calling the dude.

OK, so I'm looking for a car for a friend, he said he likes my car so he'd be down to buy an e30. I go on Craigslist, and there is one for sale for $2200 without any details.
I write to the guy, and he responds, and he is a Lecturer at Fresno State.
He said he just bought a pickup, that's why he is selling his bimmer.

I have a feeling I might actually be talking about buying this car here in this topic:)
It has around 300,000 miles though, so I have to check everything out real carefully, but it looked good as I remember.

What do you guys think, how much does this car worth?
