WTT my 635CSi for your e30

I have wanted a 635CSi for ages. I finally got one and my wife tells me she is preggers. No biggy I say as I work on making the car driveable ( bought it with it needing exhaust work and some other stuff) as I get a cat back exhaust for it, I noticed that the baby car seat won't fit well in the back. Oh oh! Now what? Well I was content to just say, no baby on board dear, but as I was working on trying to figure out why it all of a sudden has an intermititent problem where it won't rev up past 1300rpm, I managed to lose the braking on the car... WTH??? Its got some system where the power brakes work based on the power steering, something something... holy crap. So now I am frustrated and pissed. I was THISCLOSE to buying an e30 as it is what I have wanted since I sold my 86 325e to my son, but noooooo I had to come across what I thought was my dream car... turns out its my nightmare!! LOL!

Car runs great ( when it revs past 1300) and pulls hard. Handles good, the PO must have put some lowering springs in it as it sits pretty low and mean. He also tucked the bumpers way in, which I think looks decent, but he or someone removed the side molding which I think looks ok, but looks odd. Good thing its black.

The car has 186k on it, pretty sure everything works except the AC. Oh the passenger seat used to be the driver seat ( PO swapped em, don't ask me why) and I don't know if its the switch but the passenger seat don't like to work great.

It has some rust but not a ton and it looks good from 10 feet away but your not gonna win any show trophy with it. Dash is perfect, no cracks. Rear seats are great, speaker pods are great.

I can't think of anything else so ask questions.

No you can't drive it home so bring a trailer.

I am asking $1800 for it or will trade for an e30 that is either drivable or damn close to it. Prefer 2drs, prefer 6cyl, BUT will consider all. And of course will consider cash.

Here is a link to some pics of the car and the exhaust I got that I haven't even installed yet.

Honestly, with the brake booster related issues, it is not worth what you are asking. I had to fix a hydro boost system on similar year 5 series and I ended up spending around a grand to solve the issue. AND that was doing all the work myself. Not to mention the car hardly runs. Try 1000. At that price you can make yourself a nice 635 for 2 grand.

Sounds like you bought parts at the dealership or something. I could completely replace every part in the hydro brake system for less then $1000 I bet. Your opinion is duly noted but I disagree in that the car is only worth a grand. I would part the thing out if all I was offered was a grand.

And having a slight issue with the running is a far car from hardly runs. It is obvious it is a sensor or a short or something as the problem comes and goes and when its not there the car runs strong and good.
