if your supra had the elusive "t" in the engine designation, i'd be on the phone with you, but alas....

yup. a guy i know has a 2003 is300 thats laying down 850whp at 32psi on 93 octane, thats enough power for a dd (i guess). i was thinking of getting a supra so i could have some fun too.

Yea, i could deal with 850whp for my daily (-:. i thought about going turbo, but then i thought "well, if i go turbo i dont want to do it half ass, i should go jz" then to cost became a factor, so here i am.

In truth i really do like the supra, i love old Toyota and the engine is really nice (maybe better then the m20 2.5L) but im sick of kids in vtecs trying to race me, i just want a sleeeeeeepeeeeer, maybe drop an s50 in one day (:

                          Yea, 2002 GT wheels (:
I hate sawblades, and aftermarkets looked like….. aftermarket.

Anyway, I think supra sits well on them, I think they look like they could be stocks, kinda look like MKII wheels (as noted by Kovs) and who doesn’t love a MKII?

how is 7m not the right way? 750whp on stock block not good enough? the 7m is a very under rated motor. And it makes more torque then a 2j of same hp. I am surprised that you are into cars, own a supra and don't know the potential that sits under your hood.

i really want to 7mgte swap my car. I am actively looking for a busted short block to use for mock up.

I love the 7m, I really think it’s a better motor then most out there but hell, I would never put 750whp on a DD. I’m in college right now and I cant take the risk of killing my driver.

                              Why jz?
The jz doesn’t have the same head gasket problem with build ups that the 7m (from what I’ve been told) has higher stock power and with higher starting point id be a little more comfortable building it up (I was looking at 350-400 whp).
Yeah, I know I can get a lot from a 7m (your not the first one to tell me), but ive heard so many horror stories about people building up a 7m (jz also) and killing the engine in a month. Being as this would be my first full out engine rebuild/mod id want to play it safe, so daily power vs trailer queen drag strip power.
