    1988 Henna M3

hello, i am thinking about selling my henna M3. this is a partial restore. i have had the engine completely rebuilt, i mean everything. the car has only 1500 on the new motor. the chassis has 190K. i figure the motor is worth 5K ( i have about 5200 in receipts for parts and labor) and the body is worth 5 to 6K so i am asking 10k for the car. the body has all vin tags except for the driver side fender and front bumper. the car runs great, it just needs paint, and the interior to be looked after, by the way i have two sets of interiors, the orgianl tan and a black set, no rear seat though on the black set. email me for pics and more info. if you aren't serious, pls don't make me send you pics just so you can see the car...thanks

Are those current pictures? That car needs an awful lot of work to be anywhere near a 10k asking price.

well, the motor was 5K to rebuild, and the body is atleast 5k, i will just part it out...that way i get my money...that is how i came up with the figure. i think it is worth 10k, most people who have worked with me feel that as well...thansk for the input though...i will just part it out.. those pics arent current the interior has been sorted, the paint will need attention...

Great for sale ad and effort, If you really wanted to sell the car perhaps you should post complete history of car/modifications/accident history/maintenance. Take pride in your sale.

I'd say that's worth 10k, with legit documentation on a rebuild.

                      Kristian,
You can easily get 5-6k as a roller then sell your newly built s14 for 4-5k on s14.net

I'd definately start at $10,000 but be prepared to go down a bit. Make sure you tell that there's documentation for the rebuild. The only reason I say be prepared to lower the price is that a lot of sorted M3's with Great-Excellent paint (at least in the PNW) go for around $10,000-$15,000.

GLWS though! Wish you the best of luck! :)

                          Hey Kristian,
This is the guy that bought the black sport seats from you a week ago. The members on this forum expect a certain level of detail in the for sale ads - especially for cars - and when they don't get it, they get their panties in a wad. I guarantee, if you posted some pictures of the car out in the sunlight and full body pictures with the wing on there, NO ONE would be disputing your asking price. Besides, if they were actually serious, they would find a way to speak to you directly.

I can vouch for this guy knowing BMWs and he's a good seller to deal with. Good luck with the sale.

you will definitely get close to your asking price if you part it. it might be tough to get 5k for the motor alone, but its possible, and you could get 5k-6k for the roller easy.
