    NC: Restoration-Worthy Bavaria

Car isn't mine and I'll let pictures do the talking.

So from pictures, you can see that she was wrecked. :(

Car was hit by a high truck on drive side (missed euro bumper) and since has spent last 10 years stored indoors awaiting to be fixed. PO planned to repair, so engine/tranny were pulled out in anticipation.

    Good news:
NO RUST. This is one of the cleanest shells in existence.
Interior is 9/10. Seats are immaculate, dash has very few and very tiny cracks.
Under 10-year layer of dust, paint is AMAZING. I wiped some dust off the rear so you could see that.

Anyone who ever wanted to restore one of this, here's your opportunity to have something incredibly solid to begin with.

Call Tom Carr of Carr Industries at 336-931-0007. Bavaria is in Greensboro, NC and is located next to one of the best BMW restoration body shops in the country. He has no set price , but is looking to free up some space and find her a good new home. I'm sure someone in the BMW community is interested, and with Vintage at the Vineyards being 4.5 months away, it even gives enough time for someone to drive it there.

How is that interior 9/10. Come on are you getting a commission at least? FYI mint Bavarias can be had for less than $5k so it not really viable to restore that one.

i am getting nothing from it. Second door panel is in the back seat, that why I'm telling people to come out and see it.

After seeing more than a dozen of CS's and Bavarias restored, no, you can't get anywhere close to mint for $5,000 and you'd have to call Carr and find out how much he's asking for this one. But thanks for a bump :)

hope he isn't expecting to get more than a few hundred for that. you can get running, driving bavarias with no rust and no body damage and better interiors (i won't call them mint) for 2-3k

No kidding. Where are all these mint, cheap bavarias hiding?

Let's see how it does. Check BAT I saw 2 last year that were in excellent shape for less than $5k. I been wanting one for a while and have done my due diligence, i don't keep every link but they do exist.

Nice one but needs some work like a dash, the seats may look pristine. I actually have a friend looking for a Bavaria as well. But he doesn't want to do a resto as he just sold his 73 Tii out in California for cheap money.

He didn't want the hassle of fixing it after it has sat dormant for 7 years.
