GI: IL: 91 318is w/ M20b27 Swap Start Then Die

Not sure how to put this. I'm at a loss with this one. I knew the person who previously owned it and one day he was driving and one of the hard lines for fuel cracked on him and left it in his garage for over a year. I decided I wanted to pick it up thinking it was just a fuel problem so replaced the line got new fuel pump, filter, and FPR. still starts for 4 seconds then dies. checked fuel pressure and its good, checked injectors with noid light and they pulse and I did the spark plug to metal to check for spark and its good. I've taken it to a mechanic and he wasnt sure where to go and didn't have his smoke machine up and running. after that thinking it was the DME I replaced that as well, still same symptoms. I'm at a loss of too much money over it and just looking to get one that is running with minor to no problems. If anyone is interested, let me know. Its a black 91 318is with tints all around, lowering on springs (forgot brand) and has exhaust work done to it.
missing rear seats because PO wanted to do custom sub enclosure and missing front bumper and will need new driver side fender. will post pics tonight.

The front valence is a pre 88 one, wheels aren't the IS ones, non original interior without sports seats, non original steering wheel. Is everything else original on it?

Front valence is hacked, looks like the PO was planning on doing a turbo setup wit ha front mount intercooler of some sort.

You can probably part it out for more than $800. That mint dash alone will bring in a pretty penny.

Who knows, if you make enough from a part-out, I may just sell you mine. ;) It has its problems but runs like nobody's business.

I really wish I had the time to part it out. I really don't
