WTB: E30/34 MT in SoCal

Really simple:

I'm looking for any engine/body mechanically-sound and smog-approved E30 or E34 with a manual transmission. I need the car to be drive-able immediately. While show cars would be great, they'll likely be more than I want to spend. So a car with chips and even minor rust, a torn seat, etc. is fine.

For the more visually challenged, $2k or less is a good ballpark. For nicer examples, I'll consider up to around $5k.

While I'm open to any body style, convertibles are the least desirable for me.

1988 325is for sale

Hey man, I have a beautiful 88 325is i was considering putting up for sale. Its all original with only ~90k miles, Im the third owner and have all service records back to the mid 90's. This e30 is bone stock and has been garaged and babied its entire life. The zinneroberot red is absolutely beautiful and the body is perfect, not a single dent. The paint looks almost brand new (amazing for a 22 year old car) and everything is crisp and tight. The engine runs like brand new (a well maintained m20b25 is barely broken in at 90k miles), the engine bay is clean, and still alot of time left on the timing belt, water pump, clutch and all other wear parts except for tires (they have plenty of tread left but are age cracked. The shifter is crisp and precise, as are the brake and clutch pedals. The steering is perfect and responsive. The interior is grey and black and is very clean, the dash, consol and headliner look brand new, the carpet hase some minor stains and the leather seats are slighty worn, but only the finish on the leather, no cracks or anything like that. Still overall very clean. the back seat is perfect and unused. All in all it is ALMOST as close to a showroom new e30 as you can get. Great start for a super clean high performance project. I'll add that I'm more than willing to consider any car within a 6-8 hour radius if the car can make the drive back to LA.
