    88 325ix FS/T for RWD

I bought this 325ix because I wanted a quirky, fun all wheel drive car. I have fallen in love with the E30 body, and now want to make a project out of a car. I want to use a RWD platform though because I have big goals, and don't want the AWD system to be an issue later. Plus, I want to do burnouts and powerslides.

So I'd like to sell or trade the iX (trades have to be plus a bit of cash or a much nicer RWD car, or a good RWD car + turbo or swap parts).

It's an 88, 5 speed, loaded with all options AFAIK. Power sunroof, windows, ellipsoids, heated leather. 150k miles on the title, cluster is new @ 26k miles.

I've added 6000k HID lows and 3000k fogs with new lenses. It also has Matt B's M cloth boot set. I might want to keep this stuff, it depends.

Pros: Very little rust, none visible.
AC, heat, all power options work.
No leaks except trunk, not even sunroof leaks.
    Door gaskets are all good.
Have an inch thick portfolio of maintenance including just about every oil change, timing belt, suspension, ect. ect. ect.
Paint is really good except for below noted stuff.
    Runs great
    Drives Great
    Feels like a new car
    New Brake Pads
    Changed oil yesterday
    Wired up for stereo equipment
    Good tires
Full tool kit, all tools, all manuals and comes with a bunch of dealer documentation like an original brocure for e30's and one for the iX, window sticker, ect.

Cons (This is EVERY SINGLE THING):
    Fails jack test.
Medium dent on Pass door, a little denting on drivers quarter (small)
Paint chipping on lower front valence.
Small amount of paint chipping on front of hood.
    ABS doesn't work
    Brake lining light stuck on
    Tiny chip in windshield
Tach doesn't work, but I just replaced SI batteries. It's the cluster.
    Tear in driver's bolster

Will take trades for a RWD e30 in good shape, plus some cash or turbo/swap parts.

Cash asking price is 3500 firm.

WTB late model, anywhere on the east coast will go as far west as Texas for the right car at the right price. 5 speed 6cyl only.

Bump... Also noting, the interior is in great shape other than the tear in the bolster. Carpet is perfect under those iX mats. Door gaskets and everything are MINT. No cracks in the dash or anything.

Wanted to mention: Any trade I take needs to be 88-up. Also, if its in as good as/nicer shape than mine I will likely trade straight up. For example, if I could find a good car with only a couple flaws...

That's a beautiful car. Any more interior pics? You wouldn't consider an '87 wouldja?

just curious, a late model plastic bumper swap on an IX would be pretty straight forward right ? I mean would you be able to use plastics from a normal i/is ? I love the IX flares and skirts, nice car man.

Yeah it all bolts up. The original IX bumpers don't flare out to match the fenders so its all the same.

More pics? Selling an IX with a failed jack test is a challenge... more pics would help with the comfort level of buyers.

Here's some pics of the damage, the back and the interior.... Didn't clean it, just went out and snapped pics. Hasn't been cleaned on the inside for weeks, and it's been raining all weekend so the paint is filthy too. It has a good shine to it.

As of right now, consider the car sold. I have a deposit on it and somebody is coming in two weeks to pick it up. If everything goes as planned the car is gone. I don't want to delete the thread though, in the odd event that something happens.

                        Thanks for the interest.

it means the tcase is out so its basicly a RWD car untill it gets replaced which isnt cheap.
