I am getting ready to sell the face lift convertible project. I recently picked up a salvage M3 that I want to use it to make an M vert. it would be a travesty to cut up this car and replace the sheetmetal with the early style since this body is generally considered more desirable anyway. As a result, my project has changed directions and i am going to buy a earlier model cream puff to build my dream car. the drive train is finished but of course, it isn't included in the sale. the car is set up to run an obd2 s52. it was originally an m42 car. i still have the original window sticker and it will be included with the sale if someone wishes.
a couple of desirable mods that that i have done to this shell i can think of off hand: the battery has been relocated to the trunk. e36 window switch wiring harnesses have been installed and tested to work. the single opening exhaust in the valance has been enlarged to accommodate a dual opening. also, there is an e36 power steering rack installed.
the body will include both plastic bumpers that have been disassembled for paint. they are in nice shape. a minty set of tail lights. a really nice face lift front valance, grills head lights etc. mtech 1 spoiler not included.
the interior will include a pretty nice dash. i have a decent set of tan interior panels. there will be a tan top boot included. the original dash cluster showing about 130,000 miles will go with the sale also.
the really nice set of bottle caps with almost new tires and suspension pictured will be included.
the engine, trans and rear diff are not included. almost anything that has to do with the engine swap will be retained for use in the next car.
all of the body panels pictured will be included. they are pretty straight and rust free. there are a couple of blemishes as noted below and in the photos. the passenger side rear fender has a small dent that would be an easy fix. at the bottom of the rear valance on the driver side, there was a very small bit of rust in the seam. it was not rusted through, but since it would be impossible to stop in that spot, i cut it out and welded a patch there as pictured below. there are various small dings in the side of the car on the body panels that you would expect in a 19 year old car.
naturally, anyone interested in this car will have a few questions. please feel free to ask them. there are a lot of parts in the photos that do not go with the sale. to make a long story short, all body panels/bumpers are included. suspension included. the drive train and anything that will be associated with the engine swap will not be included. the only interior parts included are listed above, ie: interior panels, dash and cluster. i have about 6 parts cars of every(and i mean every) e30 body style. i have plenty of other parts that i would be happy to sell very reasonably or may include some of them with the sale to make it work.
this car would be great for someone with either a wrecked vert or an earlier car that they would like to make into late style car.
the price is 1375.00 for everything listed above. i may be willing to trade, but the parts i am interested in are not easy to find. (M Z3 rear suspension swap, 5 speed ix parts)
anyway, on to the photos.....
