I was recently offered a family members E36 M3 that ive always liked (estoril) for a very good price which is the only reason i am selling.
I bought this car as a project and intended to strip and rebuild everything from scratch but with two jobs and other cars to sell i jsut dont have the time. I bought the car as a project already knowing the turbo kit was basically junk accept for the injectors and manifold/ hfm
1994 Calypso 325i 160k miles on body 70k on engine/transmission
GOOD
-Full OBD1 Converted M52 great compression only ever saw 5psi max boost
-1998 ZF 5 speed transmission
-3.23 LSD out of 1998 m3
-Brand New H&R Cup Kit
-Full 1998 m3 leather interior, leather insert door panels, armrest etc.
-m power engine cover
-uuc system u v1 with DTM
-new m3 clutch/ flywheel
-brand new jt design wheels and tires ($1500)
-subframe is perfect and intact, strut towers are MINT
Custom Turbo kit
-TO4E master power turbo(crap but spools nice still)
-SPA cast manifold
-38mm wastegate 5lb spring
-2.5" downpipe into the stock obd1 midpipe at collector
-60lb Siemens injectors (way too big)
-Draw throu HFM set up with Euro 3.5"
-audspeed tune
-walbro 255 fuel pump
-earls oil restrictor
-all earls braided lines and an fittings
-front mount intercooler
-turbo xs knock off bov(should be bypass)
-nicly tig welded oil drain in pan
-oil feed is tapped into the filter housing
NOT SO GOOD
-paint is a little faded
-power steering is leaking
-needs a good tune (running WAY RICH)
-needs a different exhaust because the one on it now is amateur at best.
The car at 5psi is fast enough for me but im sure someone who knows what they are doing can make this into a monster....
The car runs and drives, no CEL.
5900 as it sits with wheels and tires
5000 with some bottle caps on it. PRETTY FIRM
