I may finally be selling one of my unwanted cars, so it's time to start actively seeing what's available to replace it. Depending on when the buyer forks over the cash, and how soon I'm able to sell of some of my parts stash, I'll be looking to buy in about a month or so, all things provided.
Here's what I'm looking for:
-5-speed
-clean, NO RUST
-non-e, non-x please
-no major mechanical issues, although I'm more than capable of performing most repairs, so some TLC is okay. need something reliable though...
-functional suspension upgrades or mods are a plus
-2 or 4-door, verts all OK.
-pref. not DB, but beggars can't be choosers
-mileage isn't too important, as long as it runs well and has a solid maintenance history
Car will be a 3-season infrequent daily driver and modest auto-x project.
I really would prefer not to spend over $3500. A clean 318is would be perfect, and I think that's reasonable within my budget. I'm located in Latham, NY (12110) and am willing to drive a couple hundred miles for the right car, as long as I can slap a transit tag on it and drive it back.
