    FS: 1990 BMW 325i 4dr 5spd

Regrettably I'm selling my project car. It's a glestcherblau 1990 BMW 325i 5spd sedan. It's been a TX car all of its life, and is straight with absolutely no rust.

    The bad:
The paint is pretty shot, has a few dents
the interior could use a little sprucing up, but isn't too bad.

    The good:
It drives straight and runs well, with no funny noises.
    New timing belt and tensioner
    New water pump and thermostat
New camshaft, rocker, and valve cover gaskets
New spark plugs, distributor rotor, and cap
    New air filter
New rear brake pads and rotors
    New front brake pads
    Valve adjustment performed
    Fresh oil and filter
    Brand New battery

        Wish I was closer

Anyone know what it costs to ship a car from Texas to Virginia? Can't be more than $500-$600 bucks right?

I'm having a hard time finding clean cars locally, I'm starting to think about finding something in a dryer area and shipping it back here.

I figured that it couldn't be to expensive to ship.

I'm currently looking on Craig's list. The problem is that stuff goes fast and since I just started looking I'm still learning what's a good buy vs a money pit :) I want something that I can do some work on, but won't need anything right away to make it driveable and safe. Been lurking here learning about the trouble spots. There is a good shop near me (Curry's) that does a lot of BMW, Audi work. They're not the cheapest but I trust them so I'll at least have a shop near me to handle the stuff that I can't.

I sort of figure that as long as the body is in good shape everything else is just parts (and money) so it's just a matter of how much I want to rebuild. I'd prefer an un modded car, I like the classic look and want to find something mostly stock. Hard to do on a 20 year old car.

Just driving around Manassas this week I found two at a shop for sale. An 87 325is coupe with 300K on it and no records. Had some nasty rust though and it had been modded a bit so it had a check engine light and an odd rattle underneath that I suspect was just exhaust hangers. The other one was really nice looking, and pretty modded, but he wanted $6500 for it. Might still be a good deal and I might go back to him.

            Thanks for the info.

I just got a quote to ship a car from Cali to NC for $900. Half the distance, half the price? Nice car BTW, you shouldnt have any prob selling with that price.
