With the pending rental of my place in NH I will officially be moving to Boston August 1. While I have offers of places to store the E30 in NH I've decided it's going to be a minor hassle at best to have two cars while primarily living in the city.
As such I am putting the newest project up for sale:
1987 325iS 200k on the clock
Black on Black
5 Speed
Car was a FL car for most of it's like and is INCREDIBLY clean underneath.
Drivetrain:
110k Motor installed a month ago with new WP, Tbelt, Tstat, ALL gaskets, seals and other belts - motor from Guten Parts.
Tranny shifts smoothly, new cluth master in last 1k, slave in last 5k with clutch.
3.73 LSD (stock)
All fluids changed regularly
Upgraded to 173 DME
Drop in AFE filter.
Appears there are 8mm wires as well.
Newly added Powdercoated valve cover
Interior:
Swapped out beat up Cardinal for Black Leatherette. Has comfort fronts while I wait for some pieces for the sport fronts I have in my basement to recover.
With the sale you can take the car as is, I can swap in the black sport fronts (hopefully recovered), or put the cardinal back in... Or, you can just have ALL of it - seriously.
Lighted Mtech knob/boot.
Mtech 1 wheel.
Put stock radio back in with the finger slider.
Swapped out broken odo (stopped at 203k) with working odo at 188k.
All lights work.
Exterior:
Genuine Mtech 1 with chrome euro bumpers
Chrome is 6-8/10 depending on the piece you are looking at.
Car is a 10 foot car - mtech is rattle can and cleared with color matched paint but up close you can see the difference.
Paint in places is decent and shiny.
Rust on front fender arches from PO having chrome arch covers (rust catchers) on the car.
For a DD the exterior is PERFECT. For a "show" type car you'll want to paint it.
Wheels/suspension:
Newly refinished BBS RZ 378's with Dunlap dz101's with about 2k on them
Stock springs with stock front struts and some Monroe Struts in rear (PO again)
Rides great actually but I was planning a Bilstein H+R set-up eventually.
New pads/rotors are in the trunk to be put on next available weekend.
Other:
Rear subframe bushings replaced when I bought the car. Probably one of the most PITA jobs you can do on an E30 but completely alters the how the car drives.
Honestly, this is a great little car and everything is there. A suspension and some paintwork and this car would be a stunner. All of the hard work has been done and I would drive this car cross country in a heartbeat. If I wasn't so upside down on the E90 I'd sell it and keep the E30... But the E90 is what I need to keep, so this one goes.
Pricing:
As most know a MINT set of BBS RZ378's with new rubber could fetch upwards of - 1.5k.
Mtech 1 kit including bumpers - 2k
Car stock - easily 2k
That's 5.5k without breaking a sweat.
As such I'm looking for SOLD
Please see link in sig for pictures and stay tuned for pictures in this thread.
Thanks for looking.
